Keaton, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
WildCrafted FIVEz started in the middle of COVID, when my wife Monique and I were watching the world get sick and realized most of what was being sold as “wellness” wasn’t actually well. I’d heard and read up on sea moss, all the natural holistic guys swore by it like Dr.Sebi, but every product I picked up off a shelf was either watered down, full of fillers, or sourced from places nobody could point to on a map.
So I got on a plane to St. Lucia and found it myself. One cove. Real farmers I now know by name. Wildcrafted, rope-grown, sun-dried – the way it’s been done for generations.
We came home and built FIVEz around it. The name comes from my old #55 jersey — five fingers on one hand, five on the other, like a set of praying hands. That’s the whole brand in one image: pause, look up, take care of yourself, take care of your people.
Today FIVEz is a family-built company, me, Monique, our daughter Noa, and aided by our best friend Jordan – making the cleanest sea moss products we know how to make, for a community that deserves the real thing.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
One thing we’ve learned over the last 5+ years building WildCrafted FIVEz Health & Wellness is that it has definitely not been a smooth road, but every obstacle helped shape who we are today.
One of the biggest challenges has been educating the public on the difference between real WildCrafted Seamoss and the mass-produced fake or low-quality products flooding the market. A lot of people don’t realize that true WildCrafted Seamoss should come from the ocean, not pools or chemically grown environments. Many brands focus more on trends and fast money instead of quality, sourcing, and transparency.
That’s why education became one of the foundations of our company. We’ve spent years showing people what authentic seamoss looks like, how it should be prepared, where it comes from, and why sourcing matters. We’ve had to build trust one conversation, one sample, and one customer at a time.
Another challenge was growing a wellness brand while balancing family, careers, pop-up events, long nights, and self-funding the business from the ground up. There were moments where inventory was low, events were slow, or people didn’t yet understand the vision. But we stayed consistent and continued showing up for the community.
Today, those challenges are the reason why WildCrafted FIVEz has become one of DFW’s most trusted seamoss brands. We didn’t cut corners. We focused on quality, transparency, customer relationships, and real results.
Our motto has always been:

And through every obstacle, we’ve continued to stand on transparency for our sea moss .
