Today we’d like to introduce you to Diego Cadenas.
Hi Diego, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My name is Diego Cadenas I was born and raised in Fort Worth, TX. Growing up in a big Hispanic household, where all my family was loud and always making jokes, really made it easy for me to be outgoing. When I was in school I was the social butterfly, always talking to new people and making new friends. When I was in school I knew I always wanted to do something on the creative side that really showcased my personality like an influencer.
While I was growing up some of my influencer idols were Louie Castro, Adam Ray and Marlene Dizzle. I just love how funny they are and how their content is a little bit of everything. I have always recorded myself doing funny bits with my friends or me dancing and doing transitions, but never posted them publicly. Around the pandemic time I slowly started posting videos on Tiktok more and more. I kept posting until I really felt comfortable in front of the camera.
Seeing people engaging and loving my content really motivated me to continue posting and expanding the type of content I do. I make videos trying new coffee and food places, especially local small businesses. I post daily vlogs, unboxing, skincare and funny videos. I love posting a little bit of everything and not being boxed into one category. My favorite though would have to be trying new food/coffee places. It is so exciting finding local hidden gems and trying them out. Overall I love creating content and sharing my experiences with others while also meeting new friends online and building connections.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road. I have always been overweight my entire life and that has been my biggest insecurity. I would never like the way I look in videos and that really stumped me from posting my content for a long time. But right after the pandemic I got really sick and diagnosed with an autoimmune disease that really put things in perspective for me. I really struggled during the time I was sick and gained even more weight and was on bed rest for a while.
So when I finally started to get better, I realized that my life can change in so quickly and who knows if it’s for the better or worse. That is when I started taking my content serious and put myself out there because It makes me happy. And who knows if I didn’t start then, then when would I have.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a Fort Worth based content creator who loves exploring new hidden gems, whether that be food, coffee, or matcha. I started of on posting dances and cute transition videos on tiktok. Now I share content on tiktok and instagram that include my skincare favs & routine, daily vlogs, food & coffee reviews and funny videos. Creating content in multiple categories has opened opportunities with brands ambassador programs and connecting with other creators.
I am most proud of just continuing to being true to myself and creating content that feels good and authentic to me. I want my content to make people laugh and encourage them to start creating themselves.
So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
What matters to me is making content that not only brings me joy but to others. Because everyone needs a little laughter and joy in their life even if its from a thirty second video.
