Hi Jason, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My story started with music, service, and a deep love for helping people. I’m a Dallas-based entrepreneur, musician, notary, and founder of Uptown Notary & Signing Co., LLC and The Musicians Sanctuary.

Music has been part of my life since childhood, and over the years it has opened doors for me as a performer, teacher, Musical Arts Director, and creative leader. Through The Musicians Sanctuary, I’ve been able to help students, artists, churches, and communities grow through music, education, and performance.

Uptown Notary & Signing Co. came from my desire to build something professional, dependable, and elevated in an industry where people often need help during important life moments. Whether it’s notarizing estate documents, assisting with loan signings, officiating a wedding, facilitating remote online notarization, or providing mobile concierge service, my goal is to make the process clear, smooth, and trustworthy.

My journey has not been linear, but every chapter has taught me something. I’ve learned how to lead, adapt, build systems, serve people well, and keep pushing even when the path wasn’t obvious. Today, I’m focused on growing businesses that combine excellence, integrity, creativity, and real community impact.

At the core of everything I do is a simple mission: use my gifts, knowledge, and work ethic to serve people well and build something that lasts.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has definitely not been a smooth road. One of the hardest parts of my journey has been navigating loss, especially the loss of my dear mother and other close family members. Those losses changed me deeply. They forced me to grow, to keep going when I didn’t feel like it, and to find strength in places I didn’t even know existed.

I’ve also had to overcome the challenges that come with building something from the ground up: learning business systems, balancing multiple gifts and responsibilities, finding my voice as a leader, and pushing forward even when the support, resources, or roadmap weren’t always clear.

There were seasons where I had to grieve and build at the same time. That is not easy. But every obstacle taught me something about resilience, discipline, faith, creativity, and purpose.

I don’t see challenges as proof that I should stop. I see them as part of the refining process. The losses, setbacks, and hard lessons have shaped the way I serve people today—with more compassion, more urgency, and a deeper understanding that time, legacy, and impact matter.

Uptown Notary & Signing Co., LLC is a Dallas-based notary, signing, and document service company built on professionalism, convenience, accuracy, and trust. We specialize in general notarizations, mobile notary service, Remote Online Notarization, wedding officiation, loan signings, apostille facilitation, I-9 verification, witness coordination, document printing, and document support.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
Something surprising that most people may not know is that notary work is actually part of my family story. My mother was a notary, so in many ways, Uptown Notary & Signing Co. feels like both a business and a continuation of legacy. Losing her was one of the hardest parts of my life, but building something rooted in service, professionalism, and trust has become one way I honor her influence.

Outside of business, I’m a very creative and spiritually grounded person. I’m a musician, a vegan, and I genuinely enjoy cooking vegan food. I also love working with herbs for healing and wellness, and I believe in numerology and astrology as part of my everyday life. I’m a 3 Life Path, Virgo Sun, Gemini Moon, and Scorpio Rising — which honestly explains a lot: creativity, communication, precision, intensity, and transformation all live in the same house with me.

I’m also deeply interested in technology and AI. I love using modern tools to make business more efficient, organized, and client-friendly. For me, Uptown Notary & Signing Co. is not just about stamping documents. It’s about building a smarter, more elevated, more accessible client experience.

So the surprising part is that this brand sits at the intersection of legacy, service, creativity, spirituality, technology, and community. It is professional, but it is also personal. It carries my mother’s influence, my love for people, my creative background, and my vision for what modern notary service can become.

  • Mobile concierge notary service: travel fees start at $50 in Dallas County
  • Document printing: $1 per page
  • Witness coordination: in-office witnesses $25 each; mobile witnesses $50 each
