Hi IZZY, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I can’t believe it has been a year since our last article together! I am Izzy. I love telling stories! I am an independent musician and business owner! I founded MSBDS in 2025. We work with brands to tell their stories creatively through sales and marketing efforts, as well as product development. We then take the storytelling a step further hosting events with our country club & business partners across the USA, and are official retail partners for our brands too. On the music side of things, I have released music since I was 16. I really enjoy songwriting!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Starting my own business has been the biggest challenge. Throughout the struggles, I try to find humor in the things that cause me to stop and feel frazzled, but the reality behind the scenes is that this last year has been a lot of work. I am learning that stress management is crucial. I think being able to be present for my friends and family, being able to turn my brain off, has been the biggest struggle. There are always a lot of moving pieces to both my professional, and musical goals. Always more to be done, but it’s important to also recognize the progress too! At this stage of MSBDS we have onboarded 5 brands and 8 business partners across our 3 markets – Texas, California, and Washington state. We are growing both with our brands and telling their stories, and with who we are telling stories to.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I think the maintaining of creativity is a really important thing! It impacts everything that I do, and makes me who I am. Aside from the wonderful progress that MSBDS has achieved in the last year, music still holds a special place in my world and I feel eager to keep it a priority. I have begun the writing process again, new music is being worked on. You can find my music on all the streaming platforms, my latest release, Tides and a Restless Mind is out now!
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
I’m naturally pretty quiet and introverted, which tends to surprise people. I recharge best alone, and usually feel like I ‘run out of words’ by the end of the day.
