Check Out Diego Morales’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Diego Morales.

Hi Diego , thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
This has to be my 3rd or 4th time on here so i’ll try to catch yall up. Last time I had too many kids, and now I have one more. I finally have a son. Well, the DNA test results said 99.99999999% so I am still getting a second opinion but for now he’s mine. I also DJ now and have been mainly doing that because it pays way more than comedy. I still have a few shows here and there but been trying to remodel the home and get these mixes going has taken priority. Always writing new material and i have been making my way back to the open mics.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Not one bit. The typical challenges as a comedian trying to find their way through the scene are always there, but also life hit really hard for me in 2023 and has been challenging to fix that and continue as hard as i was in comedy prior. No white flag tho, never that. Just a different type of hustle where more logic is involved rather than emotion.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am comedian/DJ in DFW. I have been doing comedy for 8+ years and DJing for 3+. I’m known for talking shit on and off stage. I am most proud of the comedians I’ve helped out along my career. It’s amazing seeing them progress and doing great things. I hope they keep going. What sets me apart is my skill of being a better coach than a player.

Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Most people like to talk about themselves, you just have to probe them. You should always follow your gut. Don’t be scared to take a risk, be scared to be old and asking what if?
