Today we’d like to introduce you to Jordan Thomas.
Hi Jordan, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started in nightlife. I used to work the lights for a club in Dallas and would be around all these different celebrities but it just seemed normal. They would come into the bar and be just regular people. So then I started going out with a friend of mine named Runeil Naik who’s a known dj out in the Dallas scene and everywhere he went everyone knew his name. Well one day I just looked at him and said “dude, you’re like Famous in Dallas.” Fast forward two years ago I decided to put that same saying onto a hat and created a social media behind that same idea and concept of the local celebrity and the access that regular people get day in and day out.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has not been the smoothest of roads. Within creating Famous in Dallas I had to focus on working my full time job and doing Famous in Dallas. I had also just lost my father when I started Famous in Dallas so I had a lot going on.
As you know, we’re big fans of Famous in Dallas. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
So Famous in Dallas is all encompassing! Whether it be sports, nightlife, content creation, lifestyle events. It is literally everything. There’s no one thing that describes being famous or being Famous in Dallas. I mainly specialize in nightlife events and content creation but I also specialize in merch and clothing. So it’s such a unique brand that it allows me to adapt to any and every event/ situation. The biggest thing I’m proud of is the community it’s created. I had no clue this how so many people felt. Whether you are a bartender to someone as big as Luka Doncic purchasing a hat. We all want to feel apart of this idea.
Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
Famous in Dallas started with a simple idea: everyone wants to be seen, remembered, and feel like they belong to something bigger than themselves.
What started as a clothing brand became a community brand. We weren’t backed by investors, celebrities, or big marketing budgets — just consistency, content, and showing up over and over again.
Over time, Famous in Dallas grew from an idea into a recognizable name. We built an audience across social media, reached millions of views, launched products, hosted events, connected with creators, and started creating moments people wanted to be part of.
The coolest part isn’t the numbers — it’s seeing people wear the brand and feel proud representing Dallas.
The biggest lesson has been learning that growth rarely looks dramatic day to day. It’s hundreds of posts, late nights, risks, and continuing even when nobody is paying attention yet.
Now the vision is bigger than Dallas. We’re building something that can exist in different cities while keeping the same message: you don’t have to be famous everywhere — you can become somebody in your own city first.
