Hi Victoria, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Owning my own photography and videography business has been a journey. I’ve spent countless hours outside my full time job to grow my client base and establish brand awareness. Right now, my big focus is growing my social media platform. I’ve been posting every day of the week. Hard work and dedication are my moto for success! Each of my talents comes from the Lord, and all I want to do is use my creativity for His glory and tell people about Jesus!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Dallas is a cut throat market. I’ve had to stand confident that I have the talent to make it in the industry, and not to compare myself to others. In fact, I champion other photographers and videographers in Dallas! I market myself by word of mouth and via social media. Social media is always a journey, and I’m currently working to build my client base.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
At Coolidge Media, I am well versed in a variety of specialties. I do both videography and photography. I have a love for videoing and photographing weddings. I also specialize in family and couple photography. My approach is to truly capture the personality of the subject. I don’t go in using the same pose list each time. I evaluate each person and do poses that match them. My editing style is warm, bright, and vibrant! I love color, let’s not hide from it but embrace it!
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
Don’t compare yourself to others. Comparison is the thief of joy. You are on your own journey. You are not behind or ahead, you just are. Don’t force anything. Do what you love and the results will come.
