Today we’d like to introduce you to Christina Epp & Richie Fenn.
Hi Christina & Richie, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
MY husband and I had rough childhoods in different ways both had stepdads, his was the worst and mine was the best but we never felt like we fit in. We both had lots of bouts with the law at a young age and well into out adult years. I had 3 kids by 3 different toxic relationships one being him and he stepped in for all 3. We had a really bad drug problem, lost our kids, got them back. Relapsed several times afterwards. I went to school for Cosmetology and graduated. He went to a 6-month program and learned construction. We both got sober in 2013 and started living. We own 2 businesses soon to be 3 and have purchased rental and investment properties. Only to say this, Praise God for every single step of the way!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Drugs, violence, arrests, cps, insanity, inconsistencies, co-dependency.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a hair stylist/hairapist.
I am raw and real and open and everyone can absolutely be themselves with no judgment and in my shop, I work 1 at a time and it’s all their time. They get the whole shop to themselves and we share everything together. I also absolutely love making others look and feel beautiful inside and out.
So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
Authenticity, because people need to be seen and heard for who they truly are and know their value in order to be their best selves. It’s not the mistakes that define us it’s what we do after the mistakes are made.
