Today we’d like to introduce you to Stefani Connery.
Hi Stefani, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I attended esthetics school right after high school and began my first salon job at 19 years old. Over the last 10 years, I’ve had the opportunity to work in three different salons, where I gained invaluable experience and developed my passion for helping clients look and feel their best.
In 2023, I took a leap of faith and opened my own business, The Face Society by Stefani Connery. It was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Just one month after opening my business, I found out I was pregnant. Building a business while preparing for motherhood wasn’t always easy, but it gave me even more motivation to create a career that aligned with the life I wanted.
Today, at 29 years old, I have the privilege of serving an incredibly loyal clientele and am typically booked 6–8 weeks in advance. My specialty services are lash lifts and brow laminations, but one of my greatest passions is educating clients on skincare. I love helping people understand their skin, choose the right products, and create realistic routines that help them achieve their dream skin.
One of the most rewarding parts of owning my own business is the flexibility it gives me to be present for my family while continuing to grow a career I truly love. Being able to combine entrepreneurship, education, beauty, and motherhood has been a dream come true, and I’m grateful every day for the clients who have trusted me throughout this journey.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Absolutely not. While I’m incredibly grateful for where I am today, the road has had plenty of challenges. Opening my business and then finding out I was pregnant just one month later was not something I had planned for. Navigating pregnancy, becoming a first-time mom, and growing a business all at the same time pushed me in ways I never expected.
It taught me a lot about resilience, adaptability, and trusting myself. It also showed me who was truly in my corner. I learned which clients would continue to support me through life’s changes and which ones wouldn’t. Thankfully, I was reminded time and time again how amazing and loyal so many of my clients are.
Like many business owners, I’ve faced moments of self-doubt, financial stress, and the challenge of balancing work and family. Learning to wear all the hats—service provider, marketer, educator, business owner, and mom—hasn’t always been easy. But every challenge has helped me grow, both personally and professionally, and has made the successes that much more meaningful.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a licensed esthetician based in Dallas, Texas, and the owner of The Face Society by Stefani Connery. I specialize in lash lifts, brow laminations, skincare, and mobile spray tans. While I love enhancing my clients’ natural beauty through these services, I’m equally passionate about educating them on skincare and helping them build routines that support healthy, confident skin.
Over the past 10 years in the industry, I’ve built an incredibly loyal client base and am typically booked 6–8 weeks in advance. I believe I’m known for creating a welcoming, judgment-free experience where clients feel comfortable, cared for, and confident in the services and recommendations they receive.
What I’m most proud of is the woman I’ve become throughout this journey. Building a successful business while becoming a mother has challenged me in the best ways. I’m proud of the boundaries I’ve established, the balance I’ve created between work and family, and the example I’m setting for my son by pursuing a career I love.
What sets me apart is my personality, authenticity, and approach to client relationships. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all beauty or skincare advice. I take the time to get to know my clients, understand their goals, and create personalized recommendations that fit their lifestyle. My clients know they’re getting honest guidance, genuine care, and an experience that’s uniquely me. There’s only one of me and I want my brand to represent that.
How do you define success?
Success to me is having control over my time and how I spend my days. It’s working for myself, building something I’m proud of, and still being fully present for my son—not being tied to a desk 40+ hours a week.
It looks like being able to take a random Thursday off to go to the splash pad or the zoo, without needing permission or feeling behind. Success is freedom, flexibility, and building a life where my work supports my life—not the other way around.
