Today we’d like to introduce you to Flor Zuviri.
Flor, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My story is one of faith, resilience, and learning to trust the process even when I couldn’t see the outcome.
I’ve been a physician assistant for over a decade, and throughout my career I’ve always been passionate about helping people improve their health. However, a few years ago, I experienced my own health challenges that left me feeling frustrated and searching for answers. That season forced me to take a deeper look at wellness, nutrition, lifestyle, and the root causes of disease rather than simply treating symptoms.
At the same time, I was navigating the realities of motherhood, marriage, and the dream of building something of my own. Entrepreneurship wasn’t something I had planned from the beginning but had always been a dream. It started with a desire to serve people differently and create the kind of healthcare experience I felt was missing, one where patients feel heard, understood, and empowered.
Building Remedy Wellness has been one of the most rewarding and challenging experiences of my life. There have been moments of uncertainty, setbacks, and growing pains, but each challenge strengthened my conviction that I was walking in the direction I was meant to go.
Today, I’m grateful to lead a business that allows me to combine my love for healthcare, education, and serving others. More than anything, I hope my story reminds people that sometimes the challenges we face become the very things that prepare us for our purpose. The path may not always be easy, but incredible things can happen when you’re willing to take the next step, even before you feel completely ready.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Not at all. While I’m incredibly grateful for where I am today, the road has been filled with challenges that tested me both personally and professionally.
As a healthcare provider, I thought opening a wellness clinic would primarily be about helping patients, but I quickly learned that entrepreneurship requires an entirely different skill set. I had to learn leadership, marketing, sales, finance, operations, and team management often through trial and error. There were many moments when I questioned whether I was making the right decisions.
One of the biggest challenges was balancing business ownership with being a wife and mother. Building a company demands a tremendous amount of time and energy, and there were seasons when I felt pulled in multiple directions. Learning how to set boundaries, delegate, and prioritize what truly matters has been one of my greatest lessons.
I also launched my business during a period of significant personal growth. In 2021, I experienced my own health challenges, which ultimately became the catalyst for the work I do today. That season taught me resilience, faith, and the importance of caring for myself so I could better serve others.
Looking back, I wouldn’t change the struggles. Every setback, mistake, and difficult season helped shape the leader I am today. Entrepreneurship has stretched me in ways I never expected, but it has also allowed me to create something deeply meaningful and make an impact in the lives of the people we serve.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I am the founder of Remedy Wellness, a functional and integrative medicine clinic dedicated to helping people uncover the root causes of their symptoms rather than simply masking them. We work with individuals who are struggling with issues such as fatigue, weight gain, hormone imbalances, thyroid dysfunction, metabolic disease, gut health concerns, and overall wellness optimization.
What sets us apart is the way we approach patient care. We take the time to listen, ask deeper questions, and look at the complete picture of a person’s health. Many of our patients come to us after being told their labs are “normal” despite not feeling well. Our goal is to bridge the gap between conventional medicine and a more proactive, personalized approach to health.
At Remedy Wellness, we combine advanced lab testing, nutrition, lifestyle medicine, hormone optimization, peptide therapy, medical weight loss, IV therapy, and wellness treatments to create individualized plans that fit each patient’s unique needs and goals. We believe healthcare should be collaborative, educational, and empowering.
What I am most proud of is the trust we’ve built within our community. From the beginning, my vision was to create a place where people feel seen, heard, and genuinely cared for. We have built a brand that prioritizes relationships over transactions and education over quick fixes.
I also take great pride in the culture we’ve created. Our mission extends beyond helping people lose weight or improve lab numbers; we help people regain confidence, energy, and hope. Watching patients transform their health and realize they don’t have to settle for feeling less than their best is the most rewarding part of what we do.
If there’s one thing I want readers to know about Remedy Wellness, it’s that we believe everyone deserves answers, not just prescriptions. Our purpose is to help people take ownership of their health, understand their bodies, and create sustainable wellness that lasts for years to come.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
If I had to choose one quality that has contributed most to my success, it would be persistence. I simply don’t give up easily. Entrepreneurship is filled with challenges, setbacks, and moments of uncertainty, and there have been many times when the easier option would have been to quit or settle. Instead, I’ve learned to view obstacles as opportunities to learn, adapt, and keep moving forward.
Closely tied to that persistence is curiosity. I’ve always been someone who asks questions and wants to understand how things work. As a healthcare provider, that curiosity drives me to look deeper when patients aren’t getting answers and to continually seek new ways to help them improve their health. As a business owner, it pushes me to keep learning, growing, and finding better ways to serve our community.
I believe success isn’t about having all the answers, it’s about being willing to keep searching for them and refusing to give up when the path gets difficult. That combination of curiosity and perseverance has shaped both my career and the business I’ve built.
