Exploring Life & Business with Kristen Abel of Harmony Housekeeping

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kristen Abel.

Kristen, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Harmony Housekeeping will be two in September.’ I started my own cleaning business to really protect my peace. I worked in medical before this and I just felt like I was never getting enough out of my days.. I love what the word harmony means and that’s what I try to give to my clients when they come home.. I absolutely love to clean as crazy as that sounds! I love that I can make someone happy and make someone’s day a little easier, I know all my clients are very capable of cleaning their home everyone is capable of Cleaning it’s just one of those things sometimes we just need a little help and that’s why I absolutely love what I do. I give families back their time to hang out and enjoy their family. They don’t have to come home and worry that they need to pick up or clean dust organize their home it’s done for them!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Absolutely not has it been a smooth road but if it wasn’t hard it wouldn’t be worth it. It is a lot easier to stay in a place where you are comfortable and I didn’t want that..

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
What sets me apart from others is my clients are not just clients they actually turned into family . Yes it’s a business but it is personal. . I know my clients trust me with their home with their families with their pets.
It’s one of the most vulnerable things to let someone come in to your home be there for over two hours sometimes all day and that’s what I do every day 7 days a week. And at your own business you don’t really get a day off and I am completely OK with that with everything that my clients have given back to me. When I leave A home I don’t stop working it instantly turns into promoting social media making sure my products are ready, vacuums are disinfected and sanitized for the next home. I absolutely love what I do and I respect the person that’s responsible for that.
