Today we’d like to introduce you to Abrey Phetluangsy.
Hi Abrey, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
i started at a salon back in 2014/2015 as a receptionist never with a career in hair on my mind! Just a few short weeks later I was hooked and quickly began my journey to becoming a hairstylist! I quickly built and found myself opening my own salon in 2022 and fulfilling dreams and goals i couldn’t have ever imagined accomplishing! Rewind just a little to 2020 when i became obsessed with Dallas and knew i’d be there one day, but that’s a story for another day haha! Fast forward to the end of 2023 where i took a leap, ended my business and Alabama and moved to Dallas to start all over. And honestly, i couldn’t recommend it enough. I’ve since grown leaps and bounds and built a clientele and career here as an educator and top stylist at Indigo Child , gotten married and also have become a mat pilates and sculpt instructor !
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely not lol! there was so much fear to move here – that i’d fail, hate it, and just be unhappy. And in some ways those things did happen , starting over is hard and HUMBLING

I am a full time cosmetologist specializing and known for my effortless brunettes, bronzes and blondes! I’m most proud of the growth i’ve made here, i honestly couldn’t have done it without God. What sets me apart is my drive, I always tell my guest i want each time they come to me to be my best time, never settling
Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
the bible honestly, other than that i don’t really read hahaha unless it’s tea on instagram or tik tok lol
