Today we’d like to introduce you to Alex Johnson.

Hi Alex, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Thank you for this Interview & also the
Acknowledgement of giving Individuals Like myself for this Platform to show our Worth our Grind and to Share our Story as the Marathon Continues. I am A 2nd Generation Barber, My Father & Mother both in this Professional lane instilled in me the Self-Entrepreneurship at an early age to proceed in being a Barber, as I Build My Clientele, Learning the Craft, An Understanding the Dynamics of Self-Employment became Challenging an taking the right steps to be Successful now in a Lane with Many others in this Competitive Field. But stayed on course, continued the Journey an Understood the Process of Patients which has me in front of you now of Being a Successful Barber, Top 5 Barbershop in my Community, Hours spent Serving the Community by Volunteering at Homeless Shelters servicing everyone with Style ,A Cut an just Over the Top grooming for them to feel good not only about Life, but for them to feel good as well on the inside for themselves. In which is very Selfless thing i do as My Parents did as well. Now years ladda as of 2016 relocated to a different shop to Exceed further in skill, Branding & Building my Clientele even more. Then 2020 hit the Covid Pandemic changed everything yet surviving & Pushing thru i received a Phone Call to become a shop owner of the previous shop i left from in 2016 to now 6nyears Ownership & Thriving which now has me in front of you.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Upon gaining Ownership of a Business in a Covid Pandemic relly became trying an not Fully staff i took on that roll all in an with the Mindset now there is no Turning back. Ownership came with alot of Ups&Down in a time when everything changed. The Economy, Cost of Living, Haircuts prices, Haircuts an even the Pay system of how Barbers now get paid, By Card ,Tappay Cash App etc. So being able to Pivot an Adapt to those changes, alot Barbers didn’t make it, Some still cut in there garage not to get or be in a shop. But I took on the role as In Ownership with No
Staff or No Staff that i was going to Succed thru that Hard time, Use that as Gas an Satyed on top an Made it pass that Hard Time but it wasn’t easy. The Obstacles of No Satff an Solely handling everything on my own not only help me, but It Sharpend my Skills, Attending more Seminar Hair Classes & Barbershop Competition. In all it helped out to be prepared an reday for Anything.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
From Hair Seminar Classes attending an Barber Competitions. My skill was very much perfected in doing my Clients that were Going thru Kemo & Also Surviving Cancer Patients to provide with styles & cuts to help them along the way thru there Journey to Provide them with Services not to help get thru just Life in General but also a Grooming to help them feel good about themselves as we both go thru the process to help them in any way I can & Could for a better sense of Happiness with Just a Haircut. Along with that what separates me from. others i would put into 3 words an as of today that still exist which keeps me steady Busy an That’s.
Consistency, Dependability & People Skills in this Lane of Barbering that is a Must to Be Successful & Great an i take Much Pride in that. Small Blessing go a Long way when thi gs are done.out of Selfless acts to help out others, A Barber will always keep a Busy Chair, which in Terms will make them a Busy Barber.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
I have Learned alot More Patients. From 1 move to.the next it’s Reaction without ReThinking of my next Move to Elevate differently or Better than Before…. Also I Learned that Traveling Alone is Never a bad Thing, God puts you in a position to Focus on Self an to be very UnBothered of others Entire Existence. Another Learned Lesson would be 1 Failure to the Next will happen is a gonna to happen, for your Positioning to Be Right for the Next Elevation………..
