Hi Latoya , so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Purrrfect Eyes started from passion, vision, and wanting to create something bigger than myself. What began as a beauty-focused brand grew into a platform for entrepreneurship, community engagement, and creating experiences that bring people together.
I started by building Purrrfect Eyes from the ground up, focusing on beauty, accessories, and helping women feel confident through products and services. Over time, I realized my gift wasn’t just in selling products—it was in creating opportunities, hosting events, and building spaces where small businesses could grow and connect.
For the past six years, I’ve expanded Purrrfect Eyes into more than a business. It’s become a brand that represents empowerment, creativity, and community. I’ve hosted large-scale events, collaborated with other businesses, and continuously found ways to make an impact.
Today, I’m proud of how far it has come. I’m still growing, still learning, and still pushing to make Purrrfect Eyes bigger and better. My goal is to continue building a brand that not only succeeds, but also uplifts others along the way.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely has not been a smooth road. Like many business owners, I’ve faced challenges that tested my patience, consistency, and faith. In the beginning, one of the biggest struggles was building my brand from the ground up and getting people to truly understand the vision behind Purrrfect Eyes.
There were times when resources were limited, support wasn’t always there, and I had to figure things out on my own through trial and error. Balancing business, family, and personal responsibilities was another challenge, especially while trying to grow and stay consistent.
I’ve also had to navigate setbacks like slow seasons, event planning obstacles, and learning how to adapt when things didn’t go as planned. But every challenge taught me something valuable—whether it was about business, leadership, or myself.
What kept me going was my determination, my passion for what I do, and my belief that every setback was preparing me for something greater. Those struggles shaped me and helped build the foundation of the business I have today.

Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
One of my favorite childhood memories was the time I spent with my mom. She was the heart of so many of my best moments growing up. Whether it was the simple things like riding around together, laughing, talking, or just being in her presence, those are the memories that stayed with me the most.
My mom taught me strength, love, and how to keep going no matter what life throws at you. Looking back, I realize those moments shaped a lot of who I am today—the way I love, the way I lead, and the way I push through challenges.
Those memories mean even more to me now because they remind me where my resilience comes from. She gave me a foundation that still carries me today, and that’s something I’ll always cherish.
