Community Highlights: Meet Iman Nisbett Jr of Doctor Faith Fitness

Today we’d like to introduce you to Iman Nisbett Jr.

Iman , we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My journey into health and fitness started as a college football player at Winston-Salem State University. After dealing with injuries myself, I became fascinated by rehabilitation, movement, and the body’s incredible ability to heal. That experience inspired me to earn my degree in Exercise Science and pursue a Doctorate of Chiropractic with a focus on neuroscience and human performance.

Over the years, I’ve worked as a personal trainer, exercise physiologist, movement specialist, and certified Flexologist, helping everyone from athletes recovering from injuries to busy healthcare professionals improve their health and quality of life.

Today, I bring all of those experiences together through my brand, Doctor Faith Fitness. My approach goes beyond exercise and chiropractic care. I believe true healing happens when we address the whole person. While movement, nutrition, and spinal health are essential, our thoughts, emotions, stress, and sense of purpose play an equally important role in our well-being.

My mission is to bridge the gap between healthcare and holistic wellness by helping people strengthen their mind, body, and soul. I want people to understand that they’re more than a diagnosis or a symptom, and that lasting health comes from treating the root cause, not just managing the problem.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but every challenge has shaped who I am today. Like many entrepreneurs and healthcare professionals, I’ve faced business struggles, academic hurdles, personal loss, and moments where I questioned whether I was on the right path. Balancing graduate school, building a business, working with clients, and continuing to invest in my education hasn’t always been easy.

One of the greatest lessons I’ve ever learned came from my father, who always told me, “Life is 1% what happens to you and 99% how you react.” That mindset has carried me through some of my toughest seasons. I’ve also been blessed with incredible mentors and friends who taught me that if you want to lead people well, you first have to become a stronger person yourself. Strength, wisdom, and character aren’t built through comfort; they’re developed through setbacks, failures, and the lessons that come from overcoming them. Those experiences give you the empathy, perspective, and credibility to help others navigate their own challenges and show them what’s possible.

Building Doctor Faith Fitness has required patience because I’m trying to create more than just another fitness brand. My vision is to change the way people think about health by bringing together chiropractic care, exercise, nutrition, and mind-body-soul wellness. Every obstacle I’ve faced has strengthened that mission. Looking back, I wouldn’t change the journey because it has not only made me a better clinician and coach, but a better person. And I believe that’s what allows me to genuinely connect with and serve the people who trust me with their health.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Doctor Faith Fitness was built on the belief that true health comes from addressing the root cause of dysfunction not simply treating symptoms. We combine chiropractic care, personal training, nutrition, mobility, and lifestyle coaching to help people move better, feel better, and build lasting health. Our mission is to bridge the gap between evidence-based healthcare and whole-person wellness by caring for the body, mind, and soul.

One of the things that sets us apart is our use of the Zone Technique, a chiropractic approach that focuses on balancing the body’s six major systems the glandular, eliminative, nervous, digestive, muscular, and circulatory systems. Rather than asking, “How do we get rid of this symptom?” we ask, “Why did this symptom develop in the first place?” By taking an above-down approach through the nervous system, we help the body function and heal the way it was designed.

In addition to chiropractic care, we’ve helped more than 100 clients transform their health through personal training, corrective exercise, and Flexology. Whether someone is recovering from an injury, losing weight, improving mobility, or simply trying to live a healthier life, our goal is to create personalized plans that produce lasting results not quick fixes.

What I’m most proud of is that Doctor Faith Fitness has become more than a fitness or chiropractic brand. It’s a movement centered on education and empowerment. We want people to understand their bodies, take ownership of their health, and realize that lasting healing happens when we care for the body, mind, and soul together. If our patients leave feeling stronger, more hopeful, and more confident in their ability to heal, then we’ve accomplished our mission.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Most people are surprised to learn that I’m actually a complete science nerd trapped in the body of a hyper, energetic, childish gym bro, who just happens to be relatively built. I genuinely love learning and can spend hours reading research on metaphysics, chiropractic, exercise science, nutrition, psychology, and human performance. At the same time, I don’t take myself too seriously. I love laughing, dancing, joking around, and bringing positive energy wherever I go. I think that balance is what makes me relatable. I can dive into complex science one minute and be the biggest kid in the room the next.
