Exploring Life & Business with Alexandria Davis of Aesthetics by Alexandria

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexandria Davis.

Hi Alexandria, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Hi, I am Alexandria. Aesthetics.Alexandria on YouTube, IG and TikTok.
I have been a lover of skincare since I was in middle school. I vividly remember my grandmother telling me it’s time to start wearing sunscreen everyday especially on the face and ever since then I have been in love with skincare.
I started my journey into becoming an esthetician in 2021 during my nurse travel days in California. I’ve done countless classes and shadowing in Botox, facials, and various skin care treatments.
I have been a nurse for over 10 years now and when I started my nursing journey, I had no clue that I could become an aesthetic nurse. So I definitely felt I was running against time but I recently graduated my esthetician program June 2025 and I’ve been finding my footing in the aesthetics world ever since.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I wish I could say this journey has been smooth but it definitely hasn’t and partly because I am a perfectionist (try to be). I have to remind myself that everyone started somewhere.
I wished that I would have known so much prior to started my nursing career at Florida A&M university where I got my BSN. I wished I would’ve got my BS in chemistry cause I love the chemistry behind skincare products but I wouldn’t change my career journey because I have made amazing friends in the nursing field and I truly enjoy being a nurse.

We’ve been impressed with Aesthetics by Alexandria , but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business is a skincare business. I offer lash services, brows services as well as express facials.
Right now my books aren’t open but I am striving to open in September.
This is definitely a passion project. I a full time nurse and I have definitely have hit some road bumps. I use to have a small suite and now I am working my way to be fully open again.
I am also a small content creator. I have an IG as well as YouTube and TikTok. I haven’t been active as much as I would like. I am a one woman show and I think people should know that it takes time and thought to put out quality work in conjunction with working a full time night nurse job.
I want readers to know that social media isn’t all glitz and glamour it’s takes time and thought and I want them to know that it’s okay if you fall behind. It’s all about getting back on the horse and putting your best foot forward.

Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My favorite childhood memory, would have to be that day my Granny Kay but that little thought of being an esthetician in my head without even days the words. I vividly remember we were on our way to a family vacation and we stop at a one-stop warehouse in South Carolina and that’s where she told me to start using sunscreen. The product was from the brand Garnier but Garnier doesn’t sell that type of sunscreen anymore. But every time I see a Garnier product, it just brings me sweet memories of my Granny Kay.
