Today we’d like to introduce you to Leslie Jackson.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’ve always loved helping people, which is what led me into nursing. I’ve worked in emergency medicine for the past six years, and while I genuinely love being an ER nurse, I realized that so much of healthcare is spent treating diseases that could often be prevented through healthier lifestyles and earlier intervention.
That realization sparked a personal journey. A few years ago, I was over 240 pounds, constantly exhausted, and didn’t recognize myself anymore. I started with simple walks, gradually learned about strength training and nutrition, and eventually fell in love with running and hybrid fitness. Over time, I lost more than 70 pounds, transformed my health, and discovered a passion for helping other women realize they’re capable of changing their lives too.
Today, I wear a few different hats. I’m still a full-time ER nurse, but I’m also a wellness creator, HYROX athlete, entrepreneur, and mentor. Through social media, I share the realities of balancing 12-hour shifts, training, and building healthy habits that actually fit into real life. My goal isn’t to show perfection—it’s to show what’s possible through consistency.
Whether I’m creating online wellness challenges for my community, sharing education and inspiration, mentoring women through their wellness journeys, or introducing people to science-backed products that support longevity, everything I do comes back to one mission: helping people take ownership of their health before they’re forced to because of it.
Looking back, every chapter—from struggling with my own health to the lessons I’ve learned working in the ER—has shaped the work I do today. I truly believe that when we choose to prioritize ourselves consistently, we don’t just change our own lives—we inspire others to believe they can do the same.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Like many people, I struggled to prioritize myself for a long time. Working 12-hour shifts in the ER is physically and emotionally demanding, and it’s easy to put everyone else’s needs before your own. There were seasons where I was exhausted, overwhelmed, and simply trying to get through each week. At my heaviest, I was over 240 pounds and didn’t feel like the person I wanted to be.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that lasting change doesn’t happen overnight. It wasn’t one dramatic transformation—it was choosing to take a walk instead of staying on the couch, learning how to fuel my body, showing up even when I wasn’t motivated, and giving myself grace when I wasn’t perfect. Those small choices, repeated consistently, completely changed my life.
Building a business while working full-time as an ER nurse has brought its own challenges. There are long days, early mornings, late nights, and moments of self-doubt. Social media can make it seem like everyone has everything figured out, but behind every post are countless hours of learning, creating, and showing up consistently.
Through it all, I’ve stayed grounded in my “why.” Every patient I’ve cared for and every woman who’s reached out to say that something I shared inspired her to take better care of herself reminds me why I started. Those moments make every challenge worth it and continue to fuel my passion for helping others realize that it’s never too late to change the trajectory of their health.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Today, I work full-time as an emergency room nurse while also building a wellness-focused business and online community. I create educational and inspirational content centered around sustainable health habits, hybrid fitness, longevity, and realistic wellness for busy women. I also mentor women through their wellness journeys by providing accountability, community, and practical tools that help them build healthier lifestyles one step at a time.
I’m probably best known for sharing my own journey openly. I don’t pretend to have it all figured out. My audience has watched me lose more than 70 pounds, train for HYROX competitions, balance 12-hour ER shifts, and navigate the ups and downs of building a business. I believe people connect with honesty more than perfection, so I try to show both the wins and the hard days.
One of the things I’m most proud of is the community we’ve built. Watching women who once felt overwhelmed start prioritizing themselves, finding confidence, improving their health, and realizing they’re capable of so much more is incredibly rewarding. Creating challenges that bring women together to build healthy habits and support one another has become one of my favorite parts of what I do.
I think what sets me apart is my perspective. As an ER nurse, I’ve seen firsthand what happens when our health is something we only think about after it’s gone. That experience has shaped everything I teach. My approach isn’t about quick fixes, extreme diets, or chasing a number on the scale. It’s about helping people build habits that allow them to live stronger, healthier, and longer.
At the end of the day, my mission is simple: I want to help people take ownership of their health before they’re forced to. If I can inspire someone to believe they’re capable of changing their life through small, consistent choices, then I know I’m doing exactly what I was meant to do.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
The most important lesson I’ve learned is that consistency will always outperform perfection. Real transformation doesn’t come from one big moment—it comes from the small promises you keep to yourself every single day.
