Hi Lisveth, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Hello! I greatly appreciate the opportunity to share my story. My journey into the Photo Booth industry began with a simple love for celebrations and bringing people together. I’ve always enjoyed capturing special family moments and seeing families and friends create memories at special events, and I realize that a Photo Booth does more than just take pictures; it creates experiences that people remember long after the event is over.
When I started my business, I did not have a large team or a huge company; I started with a vision, determination to eventually be at home more to be with my sons Anthony, Leonardo, and Daniel, and my biggest supporter my husband Jorge. He is the creator of our name Monarque Events, which comes from the monarch butterfly that Michoacan, Mexico is known for and that is where my parents and I are from. We spent countless hours learning the industry, investing in quality equipment, and understanding what clients truly wanted for their events. Every booking has been an opportunity to grow, improve, and build trust with my community.
Today, I’m proud of how far I’ve come, but what motivates me most is knowing that my business plays a small role in some of life’s biggest moments. Seeing guests laugh, celebrate, and leave with memories they can hold onto is what makes this work so rewarding. My journey has been built on passion, perseverance, and a genuine love for helping people celebrate their milestones.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely has not been a completely smooth road. Like most small business owners, we have also faced our share of challenges along the way. Our biggest challenge was simply getting our name out there and building awareness in a competitive market. In the beginning we had to work hard to earn trust, create connections, and consistently show the quality of service we provide.
Another challenge has been balancing everything that comes with entrepreneurship while also being present for our family. Between running the business, managing work responsibilities, our kids, soccer activities, and maintaining a healthy family life, there have been times when it felt like there are not enough hours in the day.
These challenges and more have however thought us valuable lessons about time management, perseverance, and teamwork. Every obstacle pushed us to become more organized, more resilient, and more committed to our vision. All these struggles helped us shape the business into what it is today.

I treat every event as if it were my own family’s special day. That personal touch has helped my business grow through referrals and repeat clients, which is something I am incredibly grateful for.
