Today we’d like to introduce you to Christian Lewis.
Hi Christian, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Hey My name is Christian Lewis founder of Continuum, back in 2021 I was playing football for Plano West Senior High School — I had played my entire life. But I always loved cameras. I grew up watching YouTube, running around with a broken camera pretending I was vlogging myself. In 2021, I started a YouTube channel making terrible content, just trying to learn as much as I could. I quickly fell in love with making short films, and honestly, movies were always a big part of my childhood — my parents would bring home a new DVD once or twice every couple of weeks.
A couple of years go by and I knew filmmaking was what I wanted to pursue seriously. I always disliked school, but I figured film school was the move — so with a poor GPA and a lot of hopes and dreams, I got accepted into SCAD, the Savannah College of Art and Design. I went, made connections I still have today, but quickly realized I felt like I was going backwards rather than forward. So I dropped out after a year and came back home to Dallas.
It’s 2024, and I run into my friend Zack Rogers at a guitar shop. We start talking about film and the future, and what was once known as Celew Productions became what you might know today as Continuum. Zack and I reimagined the company with a clear mission — to support artists and give their work a real platform.
One year into being back in Dallas, we’ve already screened two projects at the State Fair of Texas, gotten into three film festivals, directed an Adidas campaign, supported one of our artists through their first feature film, and we currently have three artists under the Continuum umbrella. We’re also in pre-production on a proof-of-concept film shooting in Boston, and we’re deep in our official company rollout campaign.
We got here by chasing the vision relentlessly and using Dallas as the foundation to build something bigger — a hub where creatives genuinely feel at home.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not at all. Starting a company from nothing in a market that can be incredibly cliquey has been a rollercoaster — emotionally and financially. We’ve made films and poured thousands of dollars into projects that will never see the light of day, simply because we didn’t get something right. That’s just part of the process, but it’s a painful one.
Being young in film is one thing. Being young and actually good at what you do is another — and people don’t always make room for that. We’ve dealt with crew problems, city logistics, and the hardest one: navigating how closed-off the creative community in Dallas can feel at times.
But honestly, that’s exactly why Continuum exists. We’re here to bridge those gaps. The more we insert ourselves into the conversation, the more we can do for the artists of Dallas who deserve a real shot.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
At Continuum, our foundation is narrative filmmaking — but we’ve done everything from corporate commercials and short films to music videos and brand campaigns. We’re always expanding what we can offer.
Our two most recognized projects are the Adidas campaign and Laredo Two. The Adidas campaign, directed by me, was filmed across the North Texas area featuring DFW athletes and filmmakers, and it’s the project that really put us on the map. Laredo Two is a local Dallas band we partnered with on a music video series, directed by Zack Rogers. Both projects connected us to the heart of the Dallas creative scene and remain our most well-known work to date.
Personally, I’m most proud of the Adidas campaign. It was an incredible experience — working with athletes like Zara at Dominion Gym Academy and creatives like Astute Imagery and Shariq Butt pushed us to make something we’re genuinely proud of. It opened our network in ways that continue to create new opportunities.
What sets Continuum apart is simple: we hand the paintbrush to artists other than ourselves. We’re not here to hoard the spotlight — we’re here to support, elevate, and platform any creative in Dallas who has something worth saying.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Passion. It sounds simple, but it’s the foundation everything else is built on. I’ve loved this art form more than I can put into words — at times it feels like I need it more than I need to breathe. So when we say we give it everything, we mean it.
That drive is what keeps Continuum moving forward. I haven’t slowed down since day one, and I have no intention of doing so anytime soon.
