Today we’d like to introduce you to Belinda Mason.
Hi Belinda, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
What started as a love for motorcycles has grown into a powerful movement of sisterhood, service, and empowerment. WOW (We R WOW) is more than a riding group—it’s a family of strong, courageous women dedicated to making a difference in their communities while inspiring others to live boldly.
Founded on the belief that women can support one another both on and off the road, WOW brings together women from all walks of life. Whether riding on two wheels, three wheels, or simply supporting the mission, members share a common goal: to uplift others through kindness, leadership, and service.
Throughout the year, WOW volunteers countless hours supporting children with autism, cancer patients, nursing home residents, veterans, and families in need. From care package drives and holiday outreach to community rides and fundraising events, the organization continues to prove that motorcycles can be a vehicle for change.
At the heart of WOW is founder Belinda “Blaq Rose” Mason, whose passion for helping others has inspired women across the country to become involved. Her vision has created opportunities for women to build confidence, develop lifelong friendships, and discover their purpose while making an impact in the lives of others.
Every mile traveled tells a story. Every event creates a memory. Every act of service leaves a lasting mark on someone’s life. WOW members understand that true beauty is found not only in the ride but also in the willingness to serve others.
As WOW continues to grow, so does its mission: empowering women, strengthening communities, and proving that when women come together with purpose, there is no limit to what they can accomplish.
Together we ride. Together we serve. Together we inspire.
We R WOW.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Building WOW has been both a challenge and a blessing. The road has not always been smooth, but every obstacle has helped shape us into the organization we are today.
Some of the challenges have included securing sponsors, coordinating large events, managing unexpected weather during rides, balancing personal responsibilities with community service, and bringing together women from different backgrounds and experiences. There have been moments of disappointment, setbacks, and times when plans did not go as expected.
Yet through every challenge, WOW continued to move forward. The support of our members, volunteers, partners, and community has helped us overcome obstacles with grace and determination. What could have stopped us instead became lessons that strengthened our mission.
The journey has taught us patience, resilience, and the importance of never giving up. While the road has had its twists and turns, we have learned to navigate them smoothly by staying focused on our purpose—serving others, empowering women, and creating lasting connections through sisterhood and community service.
Every challenge has become part of our story, and every obstacle we’ve overcome is proof that when women support one another, anything is possible.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
One of the most rewarding parts of my career has been seeing the impact WOW has on the lives of women and the communities we serve. Whether organizing charitable initiatives, coordinating large-scale events, or creating spaces where women can connect and support one another, I am driven by the opportunity to make a difference.
What’s next?
Turning WOW into a nationwide movement that empowers women through sisterhood, community service, and personal growth. I want to expand our outreach programs supporting autism awareness, cancer patients, the elderly, and families in need while creating more opportunities for women to connect, ride, and serve together.
