Silver Pyramid began in 1984 as a small start-up business at a co-op market in Vikon Village. The original owner, Steve Collins, started as a custom jeweler, working in sterling silver and gemstones. As the business expanded, other product lines were added and Silver Pyramid moved into our current retail location in 2002. Since 2002, Silver Pyramid has grown exponentially and is now the premier metaphysical store in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Silver Pyramid still carries a very large selection of quality sterling silver and gemstone jewelry, as well as crystals and minerals from around the world, herbs, oils, incense, candles, Tarot cards, books, crystal singing bowls, and home décor. Silver Pyramid also offers classes on working with crystals for meditation, chakra balancing, and healing, as well as classes on Tarot reading, herb and incense usage, Reiki, and meditation, to name a few.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Silver Pyramid has persevered over the years by continuing to offer quality sterling silver jewelry and fascinating crystals and minerals from around the world. While mainly appealing to the large metaphysical community in the DFW area, we strive to serve a wide variety of people from all walks of life. Finding a location that is accessible was important, as we have people coming to our store from as far away as Oklahoma, Louisiana, Abilene, Austin, and San Antonio. Keeping up with the ever-increasing demand for crystals and geodes from all over the world has sometimes been a struggle, as we have many items shipped in from distant locations.

Silver Pyramid has long been known for our large and beautiful selection of hand-selected sterling silver jewelry with an exceptional variety of gemstones, including Amethyst, Garnet, Citrine, Moonstone, Labradorite, Lapis Lazuli, and Moldavite. We have an amazing collection of rough, cut, and polished crystals and minerals from around the globe, like Amethyst geodes and cathedrals from Brazil and Uruguay, Malachite from the Congo in Africa, Himalayan Quartz from India, Clear Quartz and Rose Quartz from Brazil, Shungite from Russia, Moldavite from the Czech Republic, and Labradorite, Septarian, and Selenite from Morocco, to name a few. We have over 350 varieties of minerals and crystals in our store.
We have 17 different scents of hand-crafted incense from India made for our Silver Pyramid brand and we carry one of the largest selections of Tarot and Oracle cards in the DFW area. We have three lines of candles, including Coventry Creations which are scented with an enchanting variety of essential oils. We also carry crystal singing bowls made of Quartz crystal, which are perfect for meditation, sound therapy, and vibrational healing and home decor to create your own metaphysical atmosphere wherever you are.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
One of the proudest moments occurs nearly every day when a customer comes in and finds something new, different, and unexpected in Silver Pyramid.
