Thanks for sharing your story with us Man. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I am a native Texan having grown up in Houston, Texas and moved to Southern California in 2007 for work. While living in Southern California I discovered the hugely popular and delicious donut ice cream sandwich dessert. Upon visiting my girlfriend in Dallas, it prompted my desire to bring the concept to the Dallas Fort Worth food scene. Here I am, almost three years later, having never fathomed the success of this small business idea.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I have faced my share of obstacles with this being my first business from start to finish. Whether it be from hiccups during construction or simply issues causing an interruption in daily operations.
Milk & Cream – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Milk & Cream is a handcrafted ice cream shop known for our “Milk & Cream Bun”, our signature donut ice cream sandwich. The Milk & Cream Bun consists of a glazed or unglazed donut stuffed with one of our sixteen rotating ice cream flavors and a variety of toppings such as crushed Oreos and Fruity Pebbles. The ice cream flavors vary from Madagascar Vanilla and Cookie Dough to more unique flavors such as our Cookie Monster and Lavender Bean. The Milk & Cream Bun is served warm on the outside while the ice cream stays cold in the middle by using a special press.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
My proudest moment in my career so far has been the opening day of Milk & Cream. The excitement and joy from all the customers spoke volumes and made me proud to see all my hard work come to fruition.
