Meet Marquette Vega

Today we’d like to introduce you to Marquette Vega.

Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
I’m living my dream! After 17 years of photographing babies, families and corporate events I’ve decided to take a leap of faith and rebrand in ladies only intimate photography. Kiss Me Photography IS that dream! I am a total girly girl and I have always loved surrounding myself with other joyful and confident woman. Over the years photographing pregnant ladies became my favorite sessions. Specializing in Intimate/Boudoir photography was a natural next step for me.

Please tell us about your art.
I love being a woman and supporting other women, this is where my inspiration comes from. I want the entire Kiss Me Photography experience to ‘wow’ my clients! Every woman is greeted at the door with their choice of champagne or pink lemonade and of course healthy snacks because looking gorgeous for the camera takes stamina!

I create intimate images that are real and have lots of emotion in them. Sexy “looks” different on every woman. For some woman it’s a sultry expression and for some woman it’s laughter, but sexy is always about being confident! These sessions are like playing dress up but with lingerie and high heels and anything else that is unique to you.

My work is bright, modern and simple. I love pops of color and sometimes to just focus in on the little details that make us woman so beautiful. I jokingly say that I have the gift of “calming nerves and making woman feel beautiful.” I’m a big believer in lifting each other up. This is all about empowering woman. I want my clients to leave their sessions feeling strong, more beautiful and confident than before.

And of course, everyone leaves with a Kiss Me Photography shirt! As a wife and mom of three teenagers I know all about the struggle to maintain balance. It’s easy to get overwhelmed and neglect taking time to pamper yourself. My goal is for every Kiss Me client to have an amazing experience and leave feeling beautiful, sexy and captivating.

Do you have any advice for other artists? Any lessons you wished you learned earlier?
I would encourage other artist to not compare themselves too much with others in their field. Just be you, it’s enough!! Don’t get me wrong I love knowing other photographers and I enjoying seeing their work. But I am very cautious to not feel influenced by what others are doing. I want to shoot from my heart! I want to photograph my clients the way I see them through the lens. I like my style. It’s clean and modern and simple.

How or where can people see your work? How can people support your work?
My website is www.kissmephotography.com and I have an Instagram page @kissmephoto.
