We’re looking forward to introducing you to Adam Holley. Check out our conversation below.
Good morning Adam, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
For me, it’s a lot. Family of course is first. Work life is great, artistic expression is great. All in all I can’t complain.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m the singer, guitar player, and songwriter for The Trespassers. We’d been laying low for a while, but we’ve begun to ramp things back up earlier this year. We’ve been back playing live, recorded and released four songs, and are currently in the studio working on a full length album.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
Probably indifference. When you know you don’t have value with someone, what’s the point? If there’s a way to restore it, I haven’t discovered it.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Many times. But it was due to band dynamics more than anything else. Currently, I’m surrounded by the best couple of guys I could ask for. Not just in their ability, but in their utter loyalty and hard work. Lynn and I have been playing together for several years now, and with the addition of Kurt Joye, everything has improved. From our social media reach to attendance at our shows and everything in between.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Is the public version of you the real you?
Absolutely. My circle is small and loyal. I don’t have a need to walk on eggshells. I’m an energy matcher to the core, so
I’ll treat you the way you treat me.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
I’d probably quit my day job. Even if we never got
“Famous” through music, the songs and recordings I’d leave behind would be much more interesting than what I clocked in from 8-4:30 leaving nothing behind.
