Good morning Brashard, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
The first 90 minutes of my day set the tone for everything that follows. I start by waking up early, usually around 6:30 a.m., and taking a few minutes to pray and reflect before checking on my kids to make sure they’re up and ready for the day. Once everyone’s moving, I grab a cigar and take a few moments to review my goals and messages for the day whether it’s customer orders, design projects, or community events I’m involved in. After that, I dive into a bit of creative work sketching new shirt concepts or updating designs while the house is still quiet. Those early hours give me focus and clarity. By the time 90 minutes have passed, I’ve already accomplished something meaningful and feel ready to tackle the rest of the day with energy and purpose.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Brashard Booker, but most people know me as PeeWee: a father, creative mind, and proud Texan with a deep love for family, community, and design. I’m the founder of BrokeNRiches, a lifestyle brand built on the motto “Think Rich, Act Broke.” For me, it’s more than just apparel it’s a mindset about staying humble, working hard, and never forgetting where you came from, no matter how far you go. My journey started from small-town roots, growing up around strong family values, sports, and faith. That foundation shaped the way I see life and business today. Everything I create from t-shirt designs to custom logos carries a piece of my story, my people, and my purpose. I pour my energy into designs that represent real stories — families, youth teams, local riders, and everyday dreamers chasing better. I’m passionate about turning ideas into visuals that inspire confidence and unity
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
I believe what breaks the bond between people is pride, ego, and a lack of communication. When people stop listening or assume they already know each other’s hearts, distance grows. What restores those bonds is honesty, patience, and real effort choosing to understand before judging. Sometimes all it takes is a genuine conversation and a little grace to bring love and trust back.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes, there was a point when everything felt like it was falling apart. I was juggling family responsibilities, financial struggles, and trying to keep my dream alive. I almost walked away from it all. But what kept me going was remembering why I started my kids, my faith, and the people who believe in me. I realized quitting wouldn’t just let me down; it would let them down too. That’s when I learned that pressure builds diamonds you just have to keep pushing through the fire
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Is the public version of you the real you?
The public version of me is real, but it’s only part of the story. What people see is the hustler, the designer, the motivator. But behind that is a man who’s been through struggles, learned from pain, and keeps faith at the center of everything. I don’t fake my image I just don’t always show the battles it took to stand where I am. The real me is the same person, just deeper, quieter, and still learning every day.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people say I was a man who stood for something real. That I built BrokeNRiches not just as a brand, but as a reminder that success starts with mindset “Think Rich, Act Broke.” I want folks to remember that I came from the struggle but never stopped grinding, never stopped believing. That I showed love to my family, my kids, and my community, and left behind something that inspired others to dream bigger and stay humble while they chase it.
