An Inspired Chat with Christina Johnson of Frisco

Christina Johnson shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Christina, really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: What do you think others are secretly struggling with—but never say?
I think others, but not all are secretly struggling with choosing a lifestyle to life and the plan to both get there and sustain the lifestyle when they get there. There is also a struggle with people realizing where they are in life not in a negative way or positive way, but like a picture of what is and isn’t so they are able to accurately grow from their own life status and not their goals based on influence.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hello! I am Christina “Stina” Johnson. I am a mother, author and budding entrepreneur. My brand and business go hand and hand both focused on inspiring people through my life to live their life in the best ways with eclectic undertones and Christ centered. My background prior to my change or course is in finance, innovation and customer service. I have always been able to come into a position having room to be a blank slate for the sake of being coachable to exceed the need of the position while also maintaining my innate skills and gifts. After realizing how to and planning to take my gifts and abilities to higher levels I started a project to help not just those close to me who ask for help, but to people that I don’t know yet! The project is a YouTube series paired with resources to tie it all in. I can’t give out too many details, but I am excited to be able to help people with their finances and family homes.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
My earliest memory of being powerful was when I was about 10 years old. I asked my parents for a tv and they had this really old tv boxy tv with vinyl wood sides that was no bigger than than 18 inches. I have always had the gift of home decor. I knew that tv was what my room need to compliment my wooden dresser drawer and elevate my place. So, I made a space for it, cleaned my room and took my request to my dad. He told me that the tv was broken and needed to just go in the trash. I didn’t agree especially because him throwing that tv away meant that I would be left with no tv. Despite the news I told him I could fix it! He looked at me in doubt but curiosity. After about 2 minutes of back and forth he agreed to give me the tv to fix. I was so happy and free of any form of doubt. I remember putting the tv where I prepared it to be, plugging it in, and hitting the sides. The tv picture was there but not completely, so I grabbed an antenna and get a bunch of random stuff. Within 15 minutes I had the tv on and clear! My dad heard the tv sounds come from my room and came in proudly shocked that I did it. He stood beside me and said well you somehow fixed this tv, so you can keep it. I felt unstoppable even after being discouraged by my own father who’s options and advice I held high. That made me feel powerful and stuck with me on a foundational level.

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering simply taught me to trust God even when I did not understand what was next.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes, I have never had a representative. However true to what I as raised to know is that there is a time and place for everything. I don’t think I can function not being the real me. I actually appreciate myself for who I am and who God made me to be/become.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What do you think people will most misunderstand about your legacy?
I think people will most misunderstand how it all comes about. The plan will be clear, but so many of the vital parts of the legacy I am building is God’s doing and me saying yes to letting him to my life as a partner in all I do and will do.
