We’re looking forward to introducing you to Donna Morris . Check out our conversation below.
Donna , we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
What I’m most proud of building, that often goes unseen, is the resilience and intentionality behind everything I create and/or co-create. On the outside, people see the events, creative collaborations, strategies, or wins. But what they don’t see is the late nights, the quiet moments of doubt I had to push through, or the way I’ve been intentionally choosing alignment over hustle, even when it wasn’t the easiest path.
I’ve built a foundation of faith, creativity, and perseverance that supports me and enables me to pour into others. It’s the inner work, the discipline, the courage, and the vision that nobody claps for, but without it, none of the visible accomplishments would exist.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m the Co-founder of TGND Consulting, a creative communication agency. I’ve built a career in sales, marketing, and brand strategy, working with companies and private clients to elevate their wardrobes, personal brands, and digital presence. I specialize in digital marketing, influencer campaigns, and strategic partnerships; combining fashion, branding, creative direction, and storytelling to help women leaders show up intentionally, while aligning their image, brand, and messaging with their vision.
My twin sister and I founded TGND Consulting. TGND Consulting is the go-to source for creative strategy and digital marketing. We use creative direction, visual storytelling, and influencer/digital marketing strategies to help clients differentiate themselves through storytelling and attract the right audience. We help craft a consistent visual identity and brand presence that accurately reflects the mission and values of women creatives. What makes our comms agency interesting is that we have the heart of a storyteller and the mind of a marketer. We exist to help authors, speakers, creators, and impact-focused organizations share their message with authenticity and clarity. We know what it’s like to have a big vision but feel unseen, unheard, or unsure how to show up. TGND Co. has built a suite of services designed to move brands from hidden potential to a powerful presence; from brand activations and influencer campaigns to digital content creation, website design, and high-impact visibility camps.
We are currently working on a virtual women’s summit for creative women who are looking to go from overwhelmed to creating overflow in their personal and professional lives, called Aligned & Thriving Summit. We will also have new episodes coming in 2026 to our Mommi Hustle Podcast.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
Being a mom has completely reshaped my perspective of myself. It’s taught me patience, resilience, and intentionality on a new level. I’ve learned to prioritize what truly matters, balance multiple roles without losing myself in the hustle and bussle of mompreneurship, and show up every day with even more purpose and authenticity. Motherhood has also reminded me that my influence extends beyond my career. It’s all about the legacy I’m building through my actions, my creativity, and how I show up for both my children and the women I mentor and serve.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
After having my second child and grieving the loss of my grandmother, I came dangerously close to giving up on my journey as a mompreneur. The weight of loss, sleepless nights, and the pressure to “do it all” felt overwhelming, and I questioned whether I had the strength to keep building my business while showing up fully for my family or if I was in alignment with what God had for me. But in the midst of that struggle, I realized that resilience, purpose, and alignment weren’t just buzzwords; they were lifelines! After a lot of prayer and stillness, I recommitted to my vision, started to lean back into my creativity, and allowed myself to rebuild a business that could honor both my family and my dreams. That season taught me that even in our most vulnerable moments, we can choose to rise and, in doing so, create a legacy that matters.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. How do you differentiate between fads and real foundational shifts?
I differentiate between fads and real foundational shifts by looking at purpose, longevity, and impact. Fads tend to be surface-level and often driven by hype. Fads don’t fundamentally change how we work, create, or lead. Foundational shifts, on the other hand, transform systems, behaviors, or mindsets intentionally.
I also pay attention to alignment with core values and strategy: if something feels exciting but doesn’t move the needle toward my long-term vision, it’s likely a fad. But when a trend or change supports sustainable growth, strengthens your brand, or creates a meaningful connection, it’s a shift worth integrating.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. When have you had to bet the company?
There was a point where I had to bet fully on TGND Consulting; both financially and emotionally (and it wasn’t easy!). As a small business, we took a loss early on that could have derailed us, but instead of giving up, we pivoted and restructured our approach. We had to get really clear on our niche, the value we provide, and how we could serve our clients in a more aligned and strategic way in a forever-evolving industry.
The rebuilding season gave me the power of adaptability, calculated risk, and more resilience. By leaning into my relationship with God, creativity, refining our offerings, and strategically investing in the areas that mattered most, TGND not only will survive the lows of entrepreneurship but will grow stronger. Betting on our business isn’t just about money; it is about believing in our vision and the impact we create for women entrepreneurs and creatives.
