Hi Kimberly, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What do you think is misunderstood about your business?
Many people assume that digital marketing can be almost entirely automated via AI or is so simple that it shouldn’t cost much. With any professional service, you get what you pay for. AI tools can support some tasks, but they can’t replace strategy, creativity, or the experience needed to get real results, especially when you’re working in a regulated industry where compliance matters.
The real cost isn’t what you spend on marketing, it’s what you lose when you don’t know what’s working, what’s not, or when you unknowingly put your brand at risk. We don’t just run ads or post content; we make sure your messaging is on point, your campaigns are converting, and your dollars are being spent as efficiently as possible. That’s where the value is, not in the tools, but in the expertise behind them.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Right out of college, I was doing marketing for an insurance agency. I enjoyed the work, but the 9–5 structure and narrow industry focus didn’t leave much room for creativity. As part of that role, I gave presentations to local business owners on marketing and insurance. After each talk, people would ask if I could help with their marketing, and that’s when I realized there might be an opportunity to go out on my own.
The real push came during a visit to Markson Chiropractic. My chiropractor, Dr. Rick Markson, told me to quit my job and start working for him. A few months later, in August 2014, I left the insurance world and launched Page One Digital with Markson Chiropractic as my first client. Dr. Markson also runs a consulting company for chiropractors, and I began speaking at his seminars nationwide, which helped build momentum and grow my client base.
Today, Page One Digital helps businesses build their digital presence through SEO, web design, social media, digital advertising, and more.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
The leap of faith I took with Dr. Rick Markson changed everything. I started speaking at Dr. Markson’s chiropractic seminars, which gave me the exposure and confidence to grow my business far beyond what I imagined at the time.
Along the way, both Dr. Rick Markson and his father, Dr. Larry Markson, have helped shape not just my career but my mindset. They taught me that fear is often the only thing standing between you and your potential and that with focus, resilience, and belief in yourself, you really can create the life and business you want. That shift in perspective has impacted every decision I’ve made since.
What fear has held you back the most in your life?
The fear of failure, especially the fear of letting people down, has probably held me back more than anything else. I’ve always taken a lot of pride in the work I do, and I care deeply about the businesses I’m helping. While that fear can be a great motivator, at times it has led to hesitation to take big risks.
With the help of multiple mentors, coaches, and experience, I’ve reframed failure as a part of growth. Letting go of that fear has opened up opportunities I never would’ve pursued otherwise.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
I’m deeply committed to helping chiropractors grow their practices through smart, ethical, and effective marketing. Chiropractors have historically been the unsung heroes of healthcare, providing real, lasting help to patients, often without the recognition or visibility they deserve.
I believe they should have the same opportunity to succeed and scale as any other medical professional, and that starts with marketing that works (not gimmicks, not quick fixes, but real strategy). Whether it takes months or years, I’ve committed to elevating the profession by making sure more people find and trust the care that chiropractors provide.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. Could you give everything your best, even if no one ever praised you for it?
Absolutely. I try to show up as the best version of myself every day, not for praise, but because I care about the work and the people I’m doing it for. Though words of affirmation aren’t really my thing, I welcome a good compliment when it comes my way!
The real reward is knowing that what I do helps my clients succeed, and even more importantly, helps get more patients under care. That ripple effect matters to me.
