Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
When I started CrossFit in 2011, this activity gave me confidence and made me feel empowered. I finally found a sport I excelled at and the confidence gained through this activity mixed with the passion I already had for exercise led me to opening my first gym in 2018 (CrossFit Westwood) and has ultimately led me to my most recent gym project (Westwood: A Fitness Experience)!

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
I haven’t truly “suffered” so I don’t want to pretend that I have. However, I have learned that through hard times that the grass is always greener on the other side. I found this out through a breakup in 2012 which ultimately led me to spontaneously move cities and soon after met my wife. Also, construction issues with my current gym is what ultimately forced me to find a new location which led me to buying the Old Ridgmar Movie Tavern in Fort Worth and now I am building an amazing gym that I truly believe everyone will love!

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Is the public version of you the real you?
100%. I’m never fake and I am an open book. If anyone ever wants to talk, I am all ears and have an open door policy. This comes from life experiences of getting rejected for conversations. Too many people live with a famine mentality mindset. I’m happy to share anything with anyone and I love talking about gym business. Let’s talk or hash things out! Here’s all my contact info:

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
I ask myself this often. Honestly, I am doing exactly what I want to be doing. I do not want anything more. If I had all the money in the world I would be doing what I am currently doing. If I only had 10 years left to live I’d probably try and duplicate what I am currently doing in another location or two if possible.
