Hi Mercy, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
My marriage to my kind and loving husband always brings me joy! He is my best friend and I don’t know what I would do without his steady support!
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Mercy Call, I am the owner and founder of Third Sister Thrift! I specialize in curated wardrobe boxes. What makes me different is that I only shop secondhand for clients!
My goal is to make sustainable fashion accessible to everyone! There are so many people who love the idea of thrifting, but simply don’t know how to be successful at it, and that is where my service comes in!
Each client will fill out a lengthy questionnaire, send detailed body measurements and a mood board, and I will deliver accurate collection of secondhand items to fit their budget, lifestyle, taste, and wardrobe needs!
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
My relationship to my husband has always been the most significant and impactful relationship of my life. He was the first person to truly see me deeply and make me feel fully safe and loved.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
I have navigated a lot of suffering in my life, and the thing I have learned through those valleys is that rest is not something we are supposed to earn. It is so easy to keep pushing and pushing and pushing when things are good, we tend to ignore our needs, because we feel so good! But it is when we hit rock bottom that we are forced to stop and rest. It shouldn’t take grief or failure or heartbreak for us to take a breath and honor our limits, but it often does.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
I am so passionate about personal style and sustainable fashion! I think it is so important for women to know how to express themselves through their clothes and to have the knowledge and awareness to avoid overconsumption and mindless consumerism. I want each of my clients to feel 100% like themselves in the clothes that I send while knowing they are making sustainable and ethical fashion choices!

I get absolutely GIGGLY when clients send me pictures of their outfits or send me positive reviews, or post about Third Sister Thrift on social media! I can’t believe I get to help women feel as beautiful as they are and be part of huge eventful changes in their lives like being promoted at work or having another baby! I’m such a girls’ girl and I just feel so lucky to get to cheer these women on by helping them feel their absolute best in clothing that shows off who they actually are!
