We recently had the chance to connect with Moon Metamorphosis and have shared our conversation below.
Moon , a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What do you think is misunderstood about your business?
I think one thing that stands out the most about owning my business has taught me people see, feel and understand anything as deeply as they want to. I’ve never liked when people put me in a box. Some people see cards and think I’m a psychic, others see my fashion and content and think I’m a just another Tik tok creator, you watch my motivational post and think I’m a creator. My business has proved a point that you never know who someone is unless you pay attention and as deeply as you’re willing to connect with others, that shows how connected you really are to self. I’m Moon. I’m a creator, I’m a motivational speaker, I’m a coach, an influencer, and upcoming reality tv personality. I can never place my gifts in a box. I have one life to show all I was gifted with.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
What’s up everyone, my name is Moon! I’m a lifestyle content creator, spiritual and holistic coach and tarot reader, and motivational speaker. I was born in New Orleans, Louisiana but Hawaii is the place I call home. I’m a western girl with islands roots. I’m a proud indigenous woman who rewrote her whole life story and living in some of my answered prayers. I’ve changed and touched humbly over 3,000 lives in just readings and I focus on men and woman who are ready to stand up, break away from the old and step into a life where dreams with action comes true. I’m for the ones who have tried it all and haven’t seen the progress, the ones who stood up against those who tore them down, the tired, the “too emotional, too weak” I’m for the ones who spent their lives begging to be seen in rooms they don’t belong in. Moon Metamorphosis represents representation, race, culture, growth, femininity, rage, grace and alignment. It starts here.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
This one. this question is a question I think hit a soft spot for me but if you ask yourself this, watch where your own mind wanders. I lost my mom at 8 years old. Her and my daddy didn’t have a good relationship but they loved me. Dare I say worshipped me? My dad is incarcerated for the remainder of his life and I’m okay with this. My parents raised me as a warrior princess. Like- no seriously. They taught me to fight back, to know your worth, to stand up for what’s right. When I lost them both, I was raised by someone whose insecurities were greater than their voice. I was taught I wasn’t good enough, I need to fight for people to see me, others come before I do, there’s others going through worse than me. I respect this person, but it raised someone I just want to go back and protect and hug. Fast forward to these people leaving my life due to the lack of control they no longer have over me as I found my voice. I became that warrior princess I once knew. It’s my full responsibility to ensure she receives all she deserves. She was curious, she was confident, outspoken, successful and graceful at all she did. I’m blessed to say not only am I her now but now I’m saving others by empowering them to become that version of themselves as well. Now that’s a clap back friends!
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Everyday friends. I’m glad this question came up because this interview is for you all to get to know me but I’m using myself to point the mirror back. No matter how confident, no matter how much money you make, how much you have, none of that matters when you have big dreams. It’s normal to doubt yourself or be tired. I’m tired everyday but I’m not exhausting myself anymore like a used to. If you want to achieve your dreams. That looks like taking a break, stepping back. If your mind, body and spirit is lost in the process, you’ve already lost.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
I am very excited to answer this question! Can yall believe my most common compliment is “wow, you’re exactly how you are online, in person” can you believe that? We’re in a world where people can’t think, vote, or share any part of themselves because they want the brand deals, they want the clients and customers. You gotta be what people want you to be to get in. Be shady, move mad, be selfish. That’s why as entertainers and even healers, there’s no trust. You hear about power plays, competition, etc. honestly, you don’t really know who people are at all anymore. One thing about me, I’ve rejected even dream opportunities because they want me to perform. Absolutely not! Nothing is worth losing Moon in. I’ll get there authentically, as should you.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What do you think people will most misunderstand about your legacy?
Listen, I’m intuitive. When you’re directed to move in a way people don’t have “proof” on then judge you and tear you down to realize you were ahead of the game later. I’m misunderstood almost daily but as I rise, I expect to hear both positive and negative things but my spiritual practices has truly supported me to being the woman I am. The God I was taught about seems manipulative and controlling and based upon what I’ve been through, seemed like he picked and chose who he likes enough to live well. I’m thankful for everything I’ve been through because divination is how he brought me to him and reconciled me with the woman I always have been and revealed the truth of what and who I was around and raised by. People need to understand, your way is NOT everyone’s way. Respect others beliefs and God designed different cultures and practices so he can show his children they are different and communicate in different ways.
