We recently had the chance to connect with Nikol Nash and have shared our conversation below.
Nikol, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What is a normal day like for you right now?
A normal day for me starts at 5Am, giving myself a quiet moment for my daily prayer and affirmations, and planning before my household wakes up. Mornings are filled with getting my three school aged kids ready for school and off, while the twins are home with me. Between caring for them, I dive into my businesses which consist of nails, notary, and taxes- balancing client calls, content creation, and organizing. Afternoon then shifts back to mommy mode with school pickups, homework, and family time, before easing into dinner, bedtime routines, and evening hustle. Once the kids are settled, I use the late-night hours for business wrap-up and self-care, ending the day with the same determination I started with.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Nikki, a powerhouse mom of 5, who’s building businesses while living with osteogenesis imperfecta, also known as brittle bone disease. My brand, Boss Mom with Brittle Bones, is all about turning challenges into chapters of strength, style, and success. I run multiple businesses which are nails, notary, and taxes with each one connecting to my passion for creating opportunities not just for myself, but for my family and community. What makes my story unique is that I don’t let limitations define me; I use them as fuel to inspire others, especially other moms, to chase their goals no matter what life throws their way. Right now, I’m focused on rebranding, organizing, and expanding all four of my businesses while continuing to share my journey authentically on social media, because I want the world to know who Nikki, Boss Mom with Brittle Bones, truly is.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
A mom still trying to figure out how to be a better mom, grow within myself, as well as finding ways to financially support my children without having to ask anyone for help.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
There was a time when life felt heavier than I could carry, between being a mom of five, pushing through the pain and challenges of brittle bone disease, and trying to hold multiple businesses together, I truly questioned if I had the strength to keep going. The setbacks, late nights, and constant juggling made me feel like maybe it wasn’t meant for me. But in that moment of almost giving up, I looked at my kids and remembered the reason why I fight so hard. They reminded me that my story isn’t just about me; it’s about showing them that no matter how tough life gets, you can rise, rebuild, and keep pushing. That turning point lit a fire in me to keep going, stronger and more determined than ever.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Is the public version of you the real you?
People often ask me if the version of me they see online is the “real me.” The truth is absolutely yes, it is. But it’s also just one part of me. The public me is strong, stylish, and unstoppable… but behind that, I’m also a mom who gets tired, questions herself, and still chooses to push forward anyway. Both are me. The woman you see shining is built on the same struggles, tears, and small wins I live through every day. That’s what makes my journey real, and that’s why I share it.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What light inside you have you been dimming?
The light inside that I have been dimming is my own softness and joy, the side of me that deserves to shine without always carrying the weight of survival, responsibility, and being “the strong one.” I’ve been so focused on holding everything together for my kids, my businesses, and my brand that sometimes my personal dreams, self-care, and playful spirit get pushed to the side. That inner light of Nikki just being Nikki not just a mom, not just a businesswoman, not just a “Boss with Brittle Bones,” but a woman who laughs, loves, and shines in her own glow—has been waiting to be seen again.
