An Inspired Chat with Rogers Healy

Rogers Healy shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Good morning Rogers , it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
Integrity. No question.

You can teach someone skills. You can build better habits. You can generate more energy.

Integrity is something you either care about or you don’t.

It shows up in how you work, how you treat people, and how you lead when no one’s watching.

Integrity is the foundation. Everything else is relative.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Christian. Husband. Girl Dad. 7x Founder. Venture Capitalist. Real Estate CEO. Music Memorabilia Collector. YPO. Investor in 100+ startups.

These days, I’m focused on Morrison Seger Venture Capital Partners — our Dallas-based venture firm that backs companies delivering real value.

We invest in bold founders with purpose. We’re building something different. And we’re just getting started.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who taught you the most about work?
My hero. My dad.

He didn’t sit me down and give me a lecture. He showed me every single day.

He taught me that work is not about titles or trophies. It’s about consistency. It’s about doing the right thing when no one’s watching. It’s about staying late, showing up early, and doing what you said you’d do.

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Success teaches you there’s always more. More deals. More growth. More wins.

Challenges and suffering strip life down to what matters.

They remind you that family comes first. Faith, relationships, and health are the real points on the scoreboard.

How you show up when things are difficult says more than what you do when everything’s working.

Challenges are what ground you after the storm passes.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
That you need a suit and tie, an Ivy League degree, and a Wall Street zip code to break into finance.

That narrative is starting to change.

At Morrison Seger, we’re on a mission to make investing more accessible. More approachable. More creative.

The industry is evolving, and so is the path to investing.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. Are you tap dancing to work? Have you been that level of excited at any point in your career? If so, please tell us about those days.
EVERY. SINGLE. DAY.

That’s not an exaggeration. That’s how I feel about the work I get to do now.

At Morrison Seger, we’re investing in people with purpose. We’re building something that matters.

This isn’t just a job. It’s calling meets momentum.

I don’t take a second of it for granted.
