An Inspired Chat with Terry Roberson of Cedar Hill

Terry Roberson shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Terry, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
Mediation and Prayer

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, I’m Terry with Terrys Mobile Notary Services located right here in the DFW Metroplex.

I provide convenient, reliable, and professional notary services—wherever you need them. Whether you’re at home, work, or a public meeting place, I travel to you to notarize your important documents securely and efficiently.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My kids

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
When I first started my journey as a mobile notary public, I underestimated how challenging it would be to build trust, get consistent clients, and navigate all the paperwork and legal responsibilities. There were moments when the phone didn’t ring, and I questioned whether I had made the right decision.

But I reminded myself why I started—to offer a service that genuinely helps people during important milestones in their lives. Whether it’s someone closing on their first home or needing a power of attorney during a difficult time, I knew my role mattered.

Instead of giving up, I invested in my growth, improved my marketing, and focused on delivering the best service possible. Now, I’m proud of how far I’ve come—and grateful I didn’t walk away

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
They would probably say that character and love matter most to me. I care deeply about who a person is at their core—their integrity, how they treat others, and how they show up when no one’s watching. I believe that strong character builds trust and lasting relationships.

Love is just as important to me—love for family, friends, community, and the work I do. I try to lead with kindness, empathy, and honesty in everything I do. For me, those two things—character and love—are the foundation of a meaningful life.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. Could you give everything your best, even if no one ever praised you for it?
Yes absolutely.
