Today we’d like to introduce you to Christa Rodriguez.
Christa, please kick things off for us by telling us about yourself and your journey so far.
My name is Christa, and this is how I got my Name ChrizBeauty. I remember 4th grade I was in my mom’s room and for some reason I didn’t want a unibrow (even though I didn’t have one lol) but I saw little hairs and I wanted them gone! So, I got ahold of my mom’s razor and well I shaved a big chunk of BOTH my eye brows 🤦🏻♀️😂 I was like crap! My mom is going to kill me!.
So, I got her pencil eyeliner and tried my hardest to fill them in so she wouldn’t notice. well she noticed! And she’s was like I don’t understand you didn’t even have a unibrow lol well after that I got more interested in makeup that’s where it all began, I would go through my older sister’s makeup just to look then little by little I would sneak to wear powder, mascara, liner, that’s how I was for a couple of years. then I hit 6th grade and I talked to my mom about wearing makeup she got me the basis stuff, powder, mascara, pencil liner, neutral brown eyeshadow hey I was grateful! Lol I was so excited!.
But then after that I got into it a bit more wearing more lol. after I hit 16 I was obsessed! I was always playing with it than after I turned 18 I was like this is what I want to do with my life! I didn’t know how to start but I let it go by a year than I started getting serious about it! I got to work I created a new Facebook page and Instagram ALL ABOUT MAKEUP I would go live on Facebook I was so scared but after my first live I would go life 5 times a week!! Within a year I gained over 6k+ on Facebook and 3k+ on Instagram my first year! This year we are in July 2018, I have 6.3k+ on my business Facebook and on my fb, I have 4K+ on Instagram I have 6.1k+ Snapchat I have over 2k! I’m very excited for what is happening in my life never would I have thought that I would be in this position doing what I love to do! Making videos, doing reviews, getting products from big brands! It excites me to see what God has in store for me! I’m so excited! I’m forever humble! I can’t wait to see what else is in store for me in the beauty Community, I couldn’t have done it without the amazing people who follow me! Who push me when I need it! Who show more support and love to me more than people who I actually know. I love every single person who has been by my side I’m so thankful. There is so much more to say but I will end here, but that ‘s how I became “ChrizBeauty” 🙂 thank you so much for allowing me to tell my story

Can you give our readers some background on your art?
I started going live on Facebook along with my Instagram but then I started making videos and creating any kind of looks , natural, dramatic , simple , recreations , holiday looks I do it all, I also do makeup on people I love what I do I love making people feel gorgeous and feeling themselves makes me smile to see them smile after I do their makeup it’s like “I did that” I made her feel gorgeous, even without makeup they are beautiful but it makes me happy that I can do something different and they love it ! I just have always known this was my calling I’ve never been so sure about anything in my life until I started in the makeup Community. I know that in the beauty community it’s very competitive no one ever want to share details , and that’s why in my lives makeup videos I wanted to change that I wanted to help people achieve what they had problems with so when they asked I didn’t ignore them I stopped and showed them I helped them I love doing that I don’t like when people act like I’m asking for their social security lol just asking for tips lol I’m glad I learned a lot ! So, I can help others out as well 🙂
What responsibility, if any, do you think artists have to use their art to help alleviate problems faced by others? Has your art been affected by issues you’ve concerned about?
It honestly makes me put more time and effort into my work, I put my feelings into my work, I always try to use my talent has God wants me to so how ever I can I will do it 🙂
