Art & Life with Kari Feinstein

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kari Feinstein.

Kari, please kick things off for us by telling us about yourself and your journey so far.
Enlighten MD was founded by Kari Feinstein in 2004 with the purpose of helping people look their best. Today, with state-of-the-art technology and a dedicated staff with every client’s best interest in mind, Enlighten MD offers real results for nearly every inch of the body with the privacy, services and setting fit for the most discerning clientele.

For more than a decade, the business has been a family affair. In addition to working with her father, renowned endocrinologist Dr. David Feinstein, Kari’s sister, Abby, is also an on-staff certified technician and her other sister Lauren manages all digital marketing.

Most recently, Kari’s dream of expanding the business into all aspects of a quality lifestyle has finally come to fruition. We are excited to present Enlighten Living, a carefully curated boutique located just a few feet away from MD, under the same roof. Enlighten Living carries home decor, accessories, jewelry, athleisure, and much more.

As part of Kari’s overall dream and partially out of sheer demand, enlighten has added a new initiative called Enlighten Events Our newly decorated, state of the art event center can be made available for board meetings, holiday parties, or simply group events while guests are introduced to the possibilities for self-improvement through Enlighten MD.

Can you give our readers some background on your art?

A self-proclaimed perfectionist, Kari says she makes each client her “personal project,” taking the time to listen to their needs and ensure the best results are achieved. She prides herself on upgrading technology and maintaining the highest levels of quality by investing in the best tools. “I think of my family when I consider purchasing new equipment or items for my store,” she says. “If I wouldn’t use a machine on my mom or sister, I won’t use it on my clients. Same goes for my new boutique.” There are a variety of options from which to choose, but patients are evaluated and treated based on their unique needs before services are rendered.

Artists rarely, if ever pursue art for the money. Nonetheless, we all have bills and responsibilities and many aspiring artists are discouraged from pursuing art due to financial reasons. Any advice or thoughts you’d like to share with prospective artists?
Do what you love and the money will come, just be sure you are truly serving a real need.
