Art & Life with Jessica Smith, The FrameSmith

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Smith, owner of The FrameSmith.

Jessica, please kick things off for us by telling us about yourself and your journey so far.
In 1983 The FrameSmith was started out of the family garage in Richardson, Texas, just a young couple with a newborn baby and high hopes. Randy and Cindy Smith remember it like it was yesterday…” We quickly opened a retail store and could only dream what the future would hold. We are so excited to still be a vital part of the Dallas community today and have great plans for the next phase of our business.” Now in their 35th year The FrameSmith has no plans of going away anytime soon.

In 2016 their daughter, Jessica, joined the business and transitioned quickly to part-owner. In 2017 The FrameSmith became a woman owned company. “I am excited to carry on the legacy my parents have worked so hard to build” Smith exclaims. Fine custom picture framing and art bring so much pleasure to everyday life and we’re proud to be able to participate in making people’s homes and workplaces more beautiful.

Can you give our readers some background on your art?
Our art is our craft of fine custom picture framing. We offer the highest level of design, service, experience and product. It gives us great pleasure to help clients make their lives more beautiful through fine art as well as family heirlooms. We want to give them products they can enjoy and cherish for years, even generations, to come. We love being a family owned business that produces their products on site so that items are protected and safe while in our care.

We also have fine art such as original oils for sale in our gallery. It is a beautiful environment that gives others a moment to pause and find pleasure through the enjoyment of art. We love it when our art finds the perfect home.

What’s the best way for someone to check out your work and provide support?
Online or in our store. We often post pictures of completed jobs on our social media sites (@theframesmithdallas) as well as Yelp, Google and our website www.theframesmith.com.
