CAVONO of Fort Worth on Life, Lessons & Legacy

We’re looking forward to introducing you to CAVONO. Check out our conversation below.

Hi CAVONO, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: Are you walking a path—or wandering?
I am most definitely wandering. My entire life I’ve never felt like ive belonged anywhere, at times I’ve felt I didn’t even deserve certain things in my life. I’ve always had this mindset of “if you never expect anything youd never be disappointed “. I’ve noticed lately that those thoughts lead me on a path of just being with minimal effort. Possibly a fear of failure after feeling like I’ve given it my all. I dont know.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Heya, im Cavono, and im the lead singer for the band….Cavono. We’re a pop band located in Fort Worth Texas. We take pride in bringing great vibes and dance moves to environment were in and surprisingly got some great feedback from the masses. Currently we’re working on our first music video, HOPEFULLY to be released by the end of the summer 2025.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My step mom for sure. She is the most accepting woman I have ever met. I could tell at a young age that she always wanted the best for me way before I even knew what I wanted for myself, and I still struggle with that.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Oh, there have been SEVERAL, and on a few occasions i actually did. At those times i probably saw no way forward and felt like it was my only option, but sometimes i don’t take it as failure but as a lesson learned. I never take “Giving Up” as a weakness but as a chance to pull back and think about how I’m going to approach the situation next time.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What do you believe is true but cannot prove?
Respect is earned not given. Growing up i was always around people who demanded respect or they wouldn’t respect me, BUT what if i didn’t have respect to begin with? Who starts the sequence of respect for it to become a chain reaction? Or should it be just common sense for everyone to give it subconsciously so that it is something we shouldn’t have to worry about? Its always on my mind but can never be settled in my opinion.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. Are you doing what you were born to do—or what you were told to do?
I Think a little of both….my entire life I’ve never really knew where i belonged or what it was i should be doing. Most of the time I’m all ears on what routes i should take, DOESNT mean ill follow them but opinions help so i could attempt to find my own way. I feel i just go with the flow when I’m doing anything. The only time i really don’t know what’s happening is when i dial back into my own head. I’m just trying to make sense on what stirring up there at times.
