Check out Cathy “Cat” Peck’s Artwork

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cathy “Cat” Peck.

Cathy, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
I have always loved creating. I started out showing and selling acrylics and mixed media on canvas as well as hand-painted glassware. I later developed a passion for digital photography/painting. Using my iPhone, iPad and many different apps to create unique pieces of art. I entered the long-standing Fiesta Art competitions in San Antonio, one of which I was fortunate enough to win. My art has been featured on posters, medals, T-shirt’s, and even San Antonio VIA buses!

We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
My art tends to be very colorful and fun. I often incorporate a heart or love theme. It is definitely “happy” art. Most people tell me they love it because it makes them smile. I love that people come away with a happy feeling when they see it.

Do current events, local or global, affect your work and what you are focused on?
Artists have the responsibility to create. If you have a passion, you should follow it without letting others dictate what it should be. Follow your bliss.

Do you have any events or exhibitions coming up? Where would one go to see more of your work? How can people support you and your artwork?
I exhibit my art at a large corporation in San Antonio as well as social media. Instagram – @catcataluna – is the best way to see my art and where you can find my schedule. You can always DM me or e-mail me through Instagram if you have any questions or would like to purchase art.
