Today we’d like to introduce you to Elisha Floyd.
Elisha, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
I’m a local born & raised Texan actress and model, and it all started around 2017 when I first really started pursuing this career. Performing has been something I always wanted to pursue since childhood back when I was a tween watching my favorite shows on TV every week. It really inspired me to realize this is something I hope to do one day as well, to be able to make people watching at home smile & laugh just like how it did for me when I looked forward to the next episode of my favorite shows so I could watch them with my family.
We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
How I personally express myself artistically is through modeling. I enjoy being given a concept someone wants to create and then working to the best of my ability to bring to life the idea in mind for the photoshoot. Another part of modeling I enjoy is being able to have the artistic freedom to bring in some of my own ideas for a collaborative concept when I work with a photographer on exploring new ideas for styles. Being able to bring to life someone’s ideas in how I pose and hold myself is something I truly enjoy. Being styled from the outfits to the makeup is how it ties back to me with my love of acting. It gives me the opportunity to become and act in a new version of myself to go with that day’s concept.
What do you know now that you wished you had learned earlier?
My advice I’ve learned along the way is don’t let yourself overthink and stress to where it slows your progress. Sometimes you have to take the leap out of your comfort zone, and sometimes you have to fail to succeed. Everyone grows with time and improves with trial & error.
