Check out Emily Miner’s Artwork

Today we’d like to introduce you to Emily Miner.

Emily, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
I’ve always loved southwestern art and have been an artist my whole life. I started painting cow skulls aside from my accounting job and started a business doing so about three years ago. When I moved to Fort Worth last year from Frisco, the skull business took off and now am doing this full time.

We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
I custom paint cow skulls however someone would like them, and also get requests to paint originals (which are modern-southwestern). I love that each skull tells a story and in most cases is incredibly special to the customer, as well as myself. I couldn’t be more grateful for the pieces that I get to create, because I get to make people incredibly happy. It’s very rewarding to be a part of something so special to people’s lives. Whether it be a family crest, alma mater, family ranch brand, or all of them combined!

What do you know now that you wished you had learned earlier?
Don’t give up on your passion and your dream. It sounds very cliche, but there have been so many times where I thought about giving up, and I’m so thankful that I didn’t. I know this is what I was meant to do, so you have to work hard for it!

Do you have any events or exhibitions coming up? Where would one go to see more of your work? How can people support you and your artwork?
I’m on Instagram, Facebook, and also have a website (links below).z
