Fly Forever was founded in 2014 by John Paul Thomas while attending Wade College, where he received an Associates Degree in Fashion Design and a Bachelors in Merchandise & Design. Fly Forever represents contemporary luxury that looks to evolve past high-end street-wear. He’s currently attending the University of Dallas, where he’s furthering his education by obtaining his Master’s degree in Finance. Also, John Paul Thomas is soon launching “the open studio” pop-up shop in downtown Dallas, which is what he describes as an “immersive retail experience.”

Not only will there be exclusive offerings from Fly Forever core collection, but customers will have access to limited-edition pieces that include bomber jackets, sweaters, joggers and some accessories. Price points for the product at the pop-up will range from $75 to $450, and it will be held at his new studio, 1910 Pacific Avenue #10800 Dallas, TX 75201. We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The only obstacles were raising two kids, Jacob and Naomi, working two jobs while attending school full-time and trying to follow his dreams as a Fashion Designer.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Fashion designer John Paul Thomas grew up in Dallas, he recently opened a new design studio in downtown Dallas, so he can focus on his menswear and womenswear line Fly Forever. In this 1500 sq. ft. space, he can house his design area, photoshoots, and sample room under one roof.

Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
The best advice I can offer someone is carve out your own path to achieve your goals and don’t allow anything to distract from the things you’re trying to reach. No matter what business you getting into, try to find a mentor that’ll help you along your journey. The mistakes are going to happen, but having someone you can communicate with when the roadblocks do come, helps save time, money, and even when the thought of giving up on your dreams may creep in your head.
