Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexis Patrick
Hi Alexis, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Well, I am originally from Cleveland, Ohio. Born and raised. I moved to Dallas, Texas right before the pandemic and It has turned out to be the BEST thing that has happened to me thus far! If I did not move here, my life wouldn’t be the same as It is today.
My childhood wasn’t always peaches and cream. I’ve had rough times and amazing times, however, I am grateful for every obstacle and hard time I did have because It has made me the strong person I am today. I will say that I have never truly understood who Alexis was until I moved to Dallas, surrendered my life to Christ and went to therapy. The journey hasn’t been easy but It has been so eye opening and worth It. As people, we don’t realize how trauma can affect every area of our lives if we let It and I am so grateful to say that I am not letting that happen anymore.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Honestly, I would be lying if I said It has been a smooth road. It’s never a smooth road when you’re trying to break generational curses, follow Christ and be the woman he has created you to be. The struggle has and had been the purification and pruning process that takes place when you fully submit your life unto him. He has to remove the old to bring the new and that in itself is a tough journey.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Well, I work full time at a corporate company & a part time content creator. My content is primarily fashion focused with a dash of Faith, marriage and motherhood content. My goal is to build a community on my platform of women who desire to live boldly through faith and personal style. I want women to know that you can have Jesus and still be fly! I want them to know that NOTHING is impossible with God and to believe for more!
Im most proud of how far I’ve come and everything I’ve accomplish thus far.
I STRONGLY believe being me sets me apart from others. I think every one is uniquely themselves. There is absolutely no one the same.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
The most important lesson I’ve learned along the way is to never rush God in the process of preparation and pruning. His ways are far higher than our ways and his thoughts are higher than our thoughts. There is a time and season for everything and when you’re prepared for whatever It is that you want him to “hurry up” and do, he will blow your mind!
