Check Out Andy Pham’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Andy Pham.

Andy Pham

Hi Andy, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Music, specifically EDM, and going to music festivals with my friends is definitely a release with me and where I drew inspiration from to start my artist journey. Eventually, I started DJing during the pandemic, a time when the world felt like it had pressed pause. With everything shut down and life eerily quiet, music became my sanctuary. It was the one thing that kept me grounded, a constant rhythm that helped me navigate an otherwise still and uncertain time. I poured myself into learning how to DJ, spending countless hours mixing tracks and perfecting transitions in my room, where the walls felt like the only audience.

My first opportunity on a live stage came at The Yard in Fort Worth, where I played and that unforgettable feeling of having a first gig kept me going. As I kept learning, I found myself stepping into bigger spaces—clubs filled with energy, where the pulse of the crowd became the heartbeat of my sets. Each performance was a chance to absorb new styles, push my creativity, and sharpen my skills.

The turning point for me was opening for ARMNHMR during their Infinite Skies tour at The Factory in Dallas. Witnessing in awe at the giant LED screen for visuals, standing behind the decks, feeling the bass ripple through the massive venue, and seeing a sea of people moving to my music—it was a moment that felt larger than life. It lit a fire in me to push beyond DJing and fully embrace music production.

Since then, I’ve released several singles, including my most recent track, My Mind. Producing has allowed me to take my artistry to the next level, creating sounds that reflect my journey. I would and always will say that my biggest inspiration comes from my friends—their energy, love, and constant encouragement fuel everything I do. They remind me why I fell in love with music in the first place where we’re just dancing at the festival without a care in the world.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s been everything but smooth—this journey has been full of twists, challenges, and self-discovery. One of the hardest parts has been trying to find my “sound,” something that feels authentic and defines me both in my DJ sets and my music production. I’m drawn to so many styles—heavy dubstep, bass house, melodic anthems, anime, K-Pop, nostalgic throwbacks, meme culture, and an eclectic mix of other subgenres. Balancing all of those influences while trying to carve out an identity has been a challenge. I’ve had to accept that finding my sound is a journey, not a destination, and that it’s okay to evolve along the way.

Another challenge is staying motivated, especially during the quieter moments. Playing an early time slot to a near-empty room or performing on a slow night can be tough. Those moments can feel isolating and discouraging, but I’ve learned to embrace them as part of the process. The lows, as difficult as they are, make the highs even more rewarding—like when the room is packed, the crowd is moving, and the energy feels electric. Those highs remind me why I fell in love with music and keep me pushing forward.

Every struggle has shaped me into the artist I’m becoming. It’s not easy, but the growth and the connections I’ve made along the way make the road worthwhile.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
With my passion as a producer & DJ, I strive to go beyond simply playing a set—I aim to deliver a full performance that connects with the audience on a deeper level. For me, a one-hour set isn’t just about mixing tracks; it’s an opportunity to tell a story, to share who I am, and to create an experience that leaves people feeling something. I’m known for my ability to engage with the crowd, bringing energy and emotion to every performance. Whether it’s through carefully crafted transitions, nostalgic throwbacks, or unexpected drops, my goal is always to make the audience feel like they’re part of the journey.

What really sets me apart is the diversity, and I don’t limit myself to one genre—I bring an amalgamation of all my influences and experiences to the stage. You’ll hear everything from K-POP and Anime tracks to Hip-Hop, memes, house and heavy bass drops that keep the energy alive. I love blending unexpected elements together to create a set that’s both unpredictable and uniquely mine.

One of my proudest moments was performing at Foam Wonderland 2024, a music festival produced by Disco Donnie and Crowdsurf and being able to share with artists who are at the highest pinnacle in the EDM scene. Seeing hundreds of people show up early to my set, including friends who not only came out but flew in to support me, was surreal. It was one of those moments where everything I’ve worked for felt worth it. The energy of the crowd, the connection I felt, and the love from my community—it’s a core memory.

The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
One of the most powerful lessons I learned during the Covid-19 crisis is just how deeply music connects us as human beings. During lockdown, when the world felt silent and disconnected, I remember the yearning for human connection—just the simple joy of being around people and sharing a moment together.

I vividly remember sitting in my room, watching artists stream their sets online. It was surreal—alone in my space yet surrounded by friends on a video call, 20 or 30 of us all listening to the same music, vibing together. The screen glowed with tiny squares of faces, laughing, dancing, and cheering from miles away. It felt strange and a little surreal, but also memorable in its own way.

That time wasn’t just about surviving isolation—it’s where my music journey began. I had hours to dive deep into mixing and experimenting, and the joy I felt creating music quickly turned into a passion.
