Check Out Ashley Terrell’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Terrell.

Hi Ashley, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Whew! Let’s take a walk down memory lane, ha! My entrepreneur journey started in 2015 but was refined in 2021. My first company was My Sassy Canvas, but now, it has blossomed into The Terrell Touch LLC. I pretty much took the 3 things I love in life and turned them into businesses. Crafts, drinks, and snacks!

It all started with My Sassy Canvas, which I dissolved in 2020. Why? To allow me reflect on what I wanted to do and if I even wanted to continue my entrepreneurship path. It was a much-needed pause because I was able to really figure out what I wanted my business to be about and starting over felt good! It did not feel like I was starting from scratch but from a built foundation.

Now, what is my LLC about, you ask? Snacks, drinks, and crafts! I have Terrell Girl Creations by Taco (the craft part), Snackavellie Vending Machine Co (the snack part), and Taco’s Tipsy’s (the drink part)!

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
My road has been as smooth as rush hour on 635 while it’s raining! Ha! It has been a challenging journey full of growth, struggle, pain, and happiness. It takes personal growth to grow a business. If you do not want to grow yourself personally, you will not grow your business. Period. For the most part, what you have to do to grow a business is pretty straightforward. But understanding WHY you want to grow it is a different story and understanding why takes personal growth and reflection.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
When I work, I WERK. Ha! It’s something about snacks, drinks, and crafts that makes my soul happy. I love creating unique snacks and making drinks for parties, I love the idea of creating something from scratch has always been a love of mine.

My specialty is just being me so in all of my creations and businesses, my goal is to put a little bit of my personality in everything!

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Success is a feeling that is intimate and different with everyone. What I consider successful may not be for the next person but that’s okay!
