Check Out Ava Paul’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ava Paul.

Hi Ava, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
I started doing nails out of my apartment when I was in college! I was doing very cheap sets for my classmates/teammates. When Covid hit I came back to Dallas and took the leap of faith to start my business out here. Since then, I have been so grateful for the amount of love and support I’ve received!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I feel like it has been everything but smooth! But I personally wouldn’t change a thing, and I am a huge believer that all great things take time. I would say my biggest struggle was balancing school, building my clientele, and working a couple other jobs to be able to support myself. I was forced to grow up in so many ways as far as a business mindset and focus. It sounds cliche but there were soooo many late night and early mornings. I’m just so thankful for the overwhelming amount of love and support I’ve received from friends and family!

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I feel like growing up I have always been different. I loved expressing myself through my clothes, nails, and hair in unique and eccentric ways. As a nail technician, I feel like it’s really more than just nails. It gives you another outlet to express your style without saying a word. So, I really value artists and hand-painted art, especially on something as delicate and small as fingernails. I’m so proud of myself for making it this far because only a year ago I could’ve never imagined myself accomplishing this much. I make a connection with all my clients that is deeper than just client and service. It definitely sets me apart and creates a different kind of bond!

What matters most to you?
I would say my faith and my family matters to me most. With that being said I feel like I could NEVER fail in life. It has kept me grounded and pushes me to be my best in any time of adversity!
