Today we’d like to introduce you to Brian Guilliaux
Hi brian, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Growing up in an artistic family I had always been creative and curious, but my life completely changed the day that I was accepted to attend the amazing Performing and Visual Arts High School in Dallas Texas.
That beautiful place altered my life forever!
It exposed me to the endless possibilities in the creative world and I took full advantage of each and every moment.
I was in the Dance Department studying Classical and Contemporary Techniques, yet at the same time I was very involved with Music and Visual Arts. When you are fortunate enough to attend such an amazing school, you would be a fool not to dive deep into all that it has to offer. Needless to say, I dove deep!
After graduating, I was accepted to attend the prestigious North Carolina Sch of the Arts in Winston-Salem.
It was beyond amazing! The school had a well earned reputation for being very intense and demanding. I can assure you that it was and I loved the challenge.
From there I went to NYC and Europe and also toured with a great Ballet Company.
Eventually I returned to Dallas, started teaching and also became hyper-focused on Composing Music and Dance/Fashion Photography.
Both took off like wildfire and created countless adventures!
About 10 yrs ago I started taking my passion for Visual Art/Painting much more seriously and it has been a beautiful Chapter so far! Recently I moved out of the city and bought a house by the water and spend my time creating in such a peaceful environment.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I would say it has been a very smooth road because of the Serendipity of each step and my Faith in the process.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
As discussed in the previous part of the conversation, I create alot of Art… Photography/Music and Paintings….
I guess if one were to narrow down to what I specialize in, it would be Dance Photography.
Answering what Im most proud of is a difficult choice to make. I am very proud of the fact that my work has been recently purchased and placed by a very well known and widely respected Curator of Art, and to see my work appear in several Books about Art has been rewarding.
What sets me apart from others perhaps is my absolute love and devotion to every photoshoot that I do….
The day that this becomes a Job or a Chore….that will be the last.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
The Obvious shift and change that we all see happening is the world of A.I. …. Im not bothered by it at all as long as people are honest about it when they create using the technology.
We have only seen the birth of it…. what is coming within 5 yrs will blow peoples minds for sure.
Im more excited about how A.I. will have a major positive impact on feilds like medicine.
