Check Out Campbell Mckee’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Campbell Mckee.

Hi Campbell, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am a young aspiring photographer from Frisco Texas. I learned to love photography when I took my mom’s camera on a mission trip to Puerto Rico in Eighth grade. There I got to capture endless memories of new relationships, vulnerable moments, and so many memories. I took away multiple things from that trip, one being that a picture is worth a thousand words. That meaning a picture of a moment in time, majority of the time has a story behind it. Even a meaning of life and purpose behind the photo. Ever since then, I have used this passion created to raise money for more mission trips. Currently, my business is kind of ran as a non-profit. All of the profits I make go towards funding my mission trips this coming Summer 2023. I hope to use my business to help capture moments and memories of many individuals in their walk of life.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting a business at such a young age has definitely been a road of Highs and Lows. The hardest part of it all has been the outlook people have on me because of my age. When someone thinks of a 16-year-old photographer, they majority of the time think down upon me. With this, it has been hard booking consecutive shoots in some seasons of life. Other times, it is really positive, and the Lord has been super evident in that. Something I have always said is, “Passion brings Persistence.” The only way I get through financial struggles, business start-up blocks, or even artist blocks is being of the passion I have for the art of photography. It gives me a will and a way to push through the hard times in this business and also in my personal life.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a Photographer for all types of things. I shoot portraits majority of the time, like senior portraits, couple shoots, or family photos. I also love event photography which I have been doing more of recently, as well as business photography. I am known for keeping my pictures natural and realistic. I believe that we are all made exactly how we are supposed to be. With that being said, I like to keep my photos as realistic and natural as possible.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I find this question a little funny because I still am growing up HA! Growing up though I have always been the extroverted friend. I am always down to have a good and fun time. I have played softball my whole life and absolutely love the game. As a High School Junior, I am the president of my school’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes, I serve at my church, and I am also a full-time student. I love all these things, but they do not truly make me who I am. I decided to commit my life to ministry when I was 15; this has led me to going on mission trips and helped me really start my business. The Lord has got me to where I am today, and that is a huge part of who I am. I would not be who I am without His guidance in my life.
