Check Out Chizobam Eze’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chizobam Eze

Hi Chizobam, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
It all began at fifteen when my mom surprised me with a sewing machine for my birthday. Little did she know, she was fueling a creative storm! I took a fashion design class in my sophomore year of high school, then took another class in college and that’s where my love with crafting and personalizing things started.

Fast forward a few years, and I decided to take things up a notch. I bought a Cricut machine and a sublimation printer. But, let me tell you, when I first got them, I had a major “send it all back” moment. I was a full-time teacher and a full-time grad student on top of that, so I was this close to losing it. Thankfully, I have an amazing support system, a strong village I can always count on to keep me grounded.

I started making designs for friends and family, which was easy since I come from a huge circle. There was always a birthday, wedding, or some sort of event coming up, so they kept me busy! Eventually, I realized how hard it was to find unique gifts at the store. So, I combined my love for art and my mission to make people smile, and my journey in professional design was born. Over the years, I’ve honed my skills and really learned how to bring my clients’ visions to life.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It was definitely not a smooth road, When I first decided to dive into this business, I was juggling being a full-time teacher and a full-time grad student, plus all the usual life hurdles thrown in for good measure. It was…a lot. But giving up? That just wasn’t an option for me.

Since I’m self-taught, I had to rely heavily on my trusty online “professors” over at YouTube University.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Whew, let’s just say I am always booked and busy! Besides running my own business, I’m a Family and Consumer Sciences teacher and a Licensed Professional Counseling-Associate. I also am a team lead for my sister’s company, Dubem’s Dependable Event Staffing. So, yeah, you could say I keep busy!

Through it all, I like to have a good time, I’m usually the one with a big smile on my face, even when things are going south. I’ll always do my best to turn things around and come out on top. I think what sets me apart is this mix of resilience and positivity. My clients know they can count on me to pour my energy into each project and bring their vision to life with care and enthusiasm.

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
