Check Out Cyerrah Savage’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cyerrah Savage.

Cyerrah Savage

Hi Cyerrah, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
MinxMeBeautyBar started in 2020 during Covid-19. It started off as a lash and cosmetic business. The end of 2020 I lost my best friend, who constantly pushed me to start doing makeup, but I never had taken her advice because I was too scared to step out on faith. Remind you we were supposed to go into business together, but she decided to go her own way as far as starting her journey to become a nail tech. We planned with each other and prepped for months at a time for my lash line and her nail business. When she passed away, I did her makeup for her funeral, and that changed everything for me. That was the hardest thing I’ve ever done before and doing her makeup made me realize I could do it if I really put my mind to it and of course, I would do anything to make her proud. I slowed down business somewhat due to me grieving but then I decided to take a 1:1 Hands-on class beginning of January 2021 because I was determined to get myself back to where I was before, and from there MinxMeBeautyBar has now been in business for over 3 years. I have had so many ups and downs constantly over the past 3 years I was not prepared for as an entrepreneur. When I first started my business, I did everything myself from scratch I was constantly on YouTube figuring out how to make websites, logos, services I wanted to offer, products I potentially wanted to sell, etc. Over the years I have learned new ways to run my business that make it easier for me and implementing new ideas that benefit my clients/customers as well. My work has constantly progressed because I love what I do and how I am able to make women feel beautiful just because its a weekend or on special occasions.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The road definitely has not been smooth. The constant what ifs in the back of your mind, sleepless nights from planning your next idea, trying to find those automated systems and a team to take the workload off of you because you’re swamped running a business by yourself, and not to mention you’re slow months when you have to think of other ways to make up for the money you are missing. You constantly want to make sure you are giving the best customer service and make sure your client is satisfied. Running a service-based business can be challenging because it is hard to please everyone, but then you have to have the mindset it is business not personal, and sometimes pleasing everyone is not possible.

Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
